[How cute are baby Dakota and Elle??]

Dakota Fanning’s sister Elle has a movie releasing this season entitled Somewhere. It turns out that there is a scene in there where she talks about Twilight! And what Team do you think Elle says she’s on?

Even movie stars aren’t immune to the power of “Twilight.” Elle Fanning, 12-year-old sister of Dakota Fanning, is a huge fan.

In the new Sophia Coppola film “Somewhere,” Elle has a scene where her character’s trying to explain the “Twilight” story to her father (played by Stephen Dorff). I ask Elle if that was something she improvised.

“No. Sophia wrote that back when it was just the books that were so popular,” Elle says.

Her sister starred in the second and third “Twilight” movies, but Elle never visited the set. She did get to attend the grand opening of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and was excited to see all the stars.

That leads to the obvious question: Team Jacob or Team Edward?

“I’m Team Voltori,” Elle says with a smile.

For those of you not up on “Twilight,” the Voltori are a group of pretty nasty vampires. Dakota plays Jane, a member of that group.

Add Charlie Bewley to the list of Twilight stars who thinks Breaking Dawn should—and will—be made into two movies.

“The book is so heavy in terms of what happens and all the events,” Bewley, who plays Volturi vampire Demetri, tells me from the set of a movie he’s been filming in Moscow. “I think it’s inevitable.”

In fact, Bewley says, the first cut of New Moon was significantly longer than the two-hour version released in theaters…

“They had like a three-hour cut of the movie that didn’t make it,” Bewley tells me. “It had to get cut down—even though I’m sure everyone would have loved to have seen a three-hour New Moon.”

When asked about the fascination surrounding Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s off-camera relationship, Bewley insists he doesn’t understand the obsession.

“I have a way of answering the question,” he says. “It’s like, ‘What did Rob say when you asked what I had for breakfast this morning?’ Number one, he doesn’t know, and number two, he doesn’t give a f–k.

“That’s kind of the same way I feel about Rob and Kristen,” he continues. “I think they’re great and both really cool, but I don’t care if they’re together or not.”

As for Bewley’s own romantic life, the 29-year-old Brit admits, “I’m not dating anyone. I feel like an asexual right now. It’s kind of depressing. If you’ve got any hot chicks, throw them my way.”

But it’s not like he isn’t getting attention from females these days. A Twi fan recently sent him a link on Twitter to a photo of her getting a tattoo of his face on her thigh. “What do I say to her?” Bewley asks. “Thank you very much? Look forward to seeing you? I don’t know what to say.”

Summit Entertainment has released a trio of new The Twilight Saga: Eclipse transit shelter posters promoting the theatrical and IMAX versions of the upcoming sequel.

The one poster shows Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner looking down at us like we’re peons while its companion has Dakota Fanning and her Volturi cohorts doing the same. The last has the newborn vampires emerging from the water as seen in the Eclipse trailer.

All the posters share one unfortunate trait: uninspired Photoshop work. These aren’t much better than the dreaded floating head posters that look like they were cobbled together in the moments before happy hour kicked off. Maybe Twihards will revel in the sight of their beloved stars, but Summit’s marketing team could have done a lot better with a little creative effort.      -The HD Room

L: Had you read Twilight before you got the offer?

C: I’d read Twilight. I hadn’t read New Moon.

L: So what drew you to take this part? To take a part in this series?

C: Being asked! My niece is a big fan and still is a big fan. Actually we went – I took her and her sister and my mother to see New Moon on her birthday. My birthday gift to my eldest niece.

Elizabeth Reaser talked to Vanity Fair about her role as Esme in the Saga.

What did you do to prepare for Esme? How do you still work to develop her character?
When you have the material [of the books] there’s so much already on the page from Stephenie’s imagination. Most of it came from that; she’s got so much back-story. There’s so much on the Internet actually, which I found really interesting because they [the Twilight bloggers] write about your character, they write about all of our characters. I found it really fascinating—their take on it. Even on You Tube, they’ll have some kind of report on Esme or Carlisle and their relationship and it’s just been really interesting.

Going off the action scenes we’ve seen from New Moon so far, it seems that the Volturi are far more smash-em-up than they seem in the book. Marcus has a rep as being the most apathetic of the Volturi, but in this movie adaptation, do things change so that even he is getting in on the stunts?
Well, I tell ya: I was always jumping up because I wanted to dive on Edward [Robert Pattinson] as well, and throw him around. But for some reason, Chris [Weitz, the director] just kept saying: ‘No, just stay in your seat, just stay in your seat, be more apathetic.’ It was very difficult, Marcus always wants to get in on the action. As soon as you wake the guy up — as soon as Edward and Bella walk in — he gets so excited seeing this beautiful young love, it reminds him of the old days with Didyme, his long-lost love, it’s pretty hard to keep that man down, now. He’s finally woken up after 2,000 years.

Marcus’ superpower is that he’s empathetic to relationships, right?
(Laugh) Yeah, his superpower is being empathetic. He has an amazing empathy and he’s able to see the connections between people. … He’s the one who’s able to see when allegiances are starting to wane, he’s the one who’s able to nip it in the bud. So we take care of problems before they become problems.

BC: I am curious if there were any funny incidents that happened on the set. Like did anyone flub their lines?

Jackson: Well, we had a couple of things happen. It was funny because in the house we were filming the very serious, very dramatic birthday party scene, the owners were very concerned about their hardwood floors. So the entire crew and cast had to wear these hospital scrub-like booties that you had to tie around your shoes. So it was just kind of funny to see this bunch of vampires in these little boots.

BC: OK, I hope that they filmed from the ankles up so that no one sees the booties in the film!

Jackson: Yeah, we did see the movie and no booties were seen!

Kellan: Well, there are “bootie” shots but not of that type of bootie. [Laughs]

What? Hate Twilight??  Entertainment Weekly gives us ten reasons why people don’t like Twilight. Here are their reasons, but click here to see all the accompanying photos and reasoning.

Say what? I will admit that some of these are true, but not enough to make me hate the movie. Not even close. They endear it to my heart. As for Twi-moms, only 15 year olds say this, and just wait till you are 30 and you will understand.

Jamie Campbell Bower is featured in the newest issue of Wonderland Magazine. In the magazine, he chats a little about that “naked” rumor that he started my mistake.

“I was at Comicon and the guy from MTV who was interviewing me was like, ‘So Rob [Pattinson] and Taylor [Lautner] get their shirt off in the movies – any chance of you getting your shirt off?’ And I thought, ‘Alright, I am going to roll with this,’ and was just like, ‘Yeah, actually. Yes. We are all naked.’ [Laughs] I feel really bad because Chris Weitz, the director, had to write an apology note and I was like, ‘Oh God! What have I done? I’ve ruined everything…I’m never going to work again!’”

“It would be like that scene from The Dreamers. Me and Michael Sheen in a bath together and Dakota walking in saying, ‘Oh! Sorry…sorry about that,’ [adopting an assertive voice] ‘No, that’s fine. Hop in!’ – we’d all be there, smoking pot [laughs].”

Michael Sheen talked with Parade about his new film The Damned United and about playing Aro in the upcoming The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Speaking of blood, taking on Aro in New Moon.
“There’s so much expectation about the sequel. People who are hooked on the stories have very definite ideas about the character from the second book. So it’s a dilemma. You want to give them what they expect, what they want to see, but you also want to surprise them. My biggest concern has been that everyone would remember that I played a werewolf in Underworld. So it would be a stretch for me to become a vampire. But I just love Aro. I think he has a gentle side even though he’s pretty scary. And I’m just very pleased to have a whole new generation of people I can scare.”

His daughter got a literal kick out of the news.
“I was excited about being in New Moon mainly because I thought it would make my daughter Lily very happy since she loved the books and the first movie. But, she was a bit overwhelmed. It was like when I was kid–if there was something I was really into, the last thing I wanted was my mom and dad to be into it as well. So, at first, Lily got upset and sort of cried when I told her. I think it was just like her fantasy imaginative world suddenly colliding with reality. She did punish me a bit. When she kicked me, I think that was sort of acting out her frustration.”

“I wanted to see how the other half lived,” Sheene explains with a grin. “Or unlived.”

So what kind of vamp is Aro? “I suppose the Volturi are like the royal family of vampires, and while he is more their spokesperson in the books, he is their leader in the film. He’s got a sort of regality about him.

“I like the way director Chris Weitz describes him. On the surface, he is very charming and very warm, sort of likable and soft. But underneath, you get the sense he is a psychopathic killer. I love playing with that idea.”

In a new interview with MTV, Jamie Campbell Bower, New Moon‘s Caius, tells us about his Volturi accent, his future projects, and tearing people apart in New Moon!

MTV: We’re going to see you in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” as Gellert Grindlewald, joining Rob as the only actor to have a foot in both of these phenomenally huge franchises. Have you guys bonded over this?

Campbell Bower: Well, Rob is quite a significant character in the “Potter” movies, I believe, from what I can remember. My character is a bit smaller.

MTV: Have you and Rob discussed things he learned as he tried to go from one franchise to the other? Did he have pointers for you?

Campbell Bower: No. There isn’t much difference between them, apart from the story. They’re both massive franchises, and they both work like a machine, you know? Everyone’s on time, and everyone’s doing the best job that they can.

MTV: Some people might say that “Twilight” is more for girls, while boys enjoy “Potter” more. Would you agree?

Campbell Bower: I’d say that they’ve both got fairly specific fanbases. “Twilight” is more for your 13- to18-year-olds, although there are people who obviously enjoy it — older people — which is great. But I think the main audience is the 13- to 18-year-olds, maybe because of Rob and the fact that they love Edward. [As for] “Harry Potter,” it’s a bit younger. Although the recent films are a bit dark. I saw [a "Potter" film] the other day, and I thought it was quite scary. You’ve also got your older audience [there].

MTV: What’s the difference between how you approach each franchise?

Campbell Bower: Like, am I playing them the same? No, I mean, they’re two different characters, they’re two different people. [To play them the same] would be like, “I’ve just eaten some cheese, and now I’m eating an apple, and it tastes like cheese.” When you’re filming anything, you’ve just got to believe in the character and believe yourself that you are the character.

MTV: What’s the one scene in “New Moon” you most enjoyed filming?

Campbell Bower: Well, there’s a particular scene where we rip this guy apart, and I just sit there smiling and really enjoying it. When I got the script, I was like, “That’s the one I want to do the most!,” because there’s nothing to say. It’s really sordid, gross and really grim — that was pretty fun.

How totally adorable is this couple? Dakota Fanning was snapped out to dinner Saturday night with the adorable Freddie Highmore (August Rush, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland). I have loved Freddie in everything I have seen him in. What a cute couple! Check out the snaps here.

I love reading the cast members take on different aspects of the filming a movie; whether it be their favorite scene they shot, who they liked working with, challenges, etc.  But I also really enjoy reading things straight from the director and their take on the film, which I know isn’t as appealing to some cause he’s not a hot 17 or 23 year old. But in this interview with Hollywood.com, Chris Weitz shares a behind the scenes view on things… even the proposal scene at the end of the movie! He also denies rumors that he is set to film Breaking Dawn, but said if Summit Entertainment asked him to he would definitely consider it. So read on and enjoy-

Can you tell us about how far along you are to completion right now?
CW: Well, let me see. I am about two weeks away from showing my director’s cut to the studio. I’ve got some wolves with fur, and some wolves are still invisible [laughs] … basically. Some wolves are still kind of like, you’ve probably all see the ones that are kind of claymation versions. We are still in the late R & D [research and development] phases of what Edward looks like when he’s hit with sunlight, what the vampires look like when they’re hit with sunlight, the diamond effect and also kind of the hallucinatory effect that Bella has when she hears Edward’s voice, and she imagines him.

Talking about the proposal scene at the end of the book. Fans are worried that that might have been altered or cut out for the film. Can you address those concerns?
CW: It hasn’t been cut out, I can tell you that much. It’s not going to hit them in exactly the way they think it’s going to, but I will say that, I gotta put it: It’s gonna be quite special. I kind of saved all of my gusto for that moment. I don’t think it’ll disappoint.

What was your favorite scene to film?
CW: There were a lot of fun scenes to film, frankly. I really did enjoy the scenes in the Volturi headquarters, although it’s a tremendous logistical headache. In a way, it’s the scenes that you dread the most, because they are so time-consuming and you have to get it just right, which is like the stuff in the Volturi headquarters, or the stuff that was shot in Montepulciano. I suppose that has to be my favorite scene, because it’s kind of the highpoint of the movie, when Bella goes to try to stop Edward from killing himself.

We had 1,000 extras in this medieval town square in a hill town in Tuscany in the most beautiful country on Earth. It’s just such an extraordinary opportunity to get to work there, and it was also kind of surreal because every Twilight fan who could make it from all over continental Europe and further had gotten by hook or by crook to Montepulciano and booked a hotel room, sometimes at the very hotel at which the cast and crew were staying. And so there was this kind of weird Beatle-mania sort of thing going on in this small, beautiful hill town, and so for five days it was kind of this bizarre festival atmosphere. And it really wasn’t bothersome at all. It was incredibly gratifying that all these people would applaud after every single take. Whether or not we had screwed it up. They had no idea because they weren’t close enough to hear, but if you look down any alley down which the camera wasn’t pointing, you’d see hundreds of these young girls who’d come to kind of just touch a piece of what they really loved.

My two cents: I love that the wolf pack have tattoos. And even if it was hideous, I would like it best for that reason. But I think it looks cool, too. Can’t wait to get an up close and clear picture of it.

Justine Wachsberger is starring in, not one, but two Summit films this summer. She is making her acting debut in Sorority Row, and then appearing in New Moon as Gianna, the human who works for the Volturi coven.

Here is what she said about getting the role:

“I actually liked the books but I wasn’t a crazy fan of Twilight when I got the role of Gianna,” explained Wachsberger. “I just knew though that I would be lucky to be part of such a huge franchise because I know what these stories mean to the fans.”

Wachsberger added, “Gianna was a really interesting character to portray for me. She’s human and has a lot going for her but decides to work for the vampires. You don’t really know much about her motivations and that adds a lot of mystery to her, which I really loved.”

While filming the scene in the Volturi lair, this is how the actors were dressed:

Pattinson wore a dark burgundy hooded robe, his chest exposed. And yes, it was impeccably hairless and like alabaster, just as Meyer wrote it. Girls will swoon. Greene stood next to him, wearing a white and gray striped robe and red gloves. Stewart stood between them in black jeans, a short sleeved shirt, and sneakers.

Pattinson & Stewart may not have been giving interviews that day, but the writer of the article was able to watch them in action:

Stewart was mesmerizing in take after take. The repetition of it was fascinating to listen to; the 19-year-old actress seemed to open a vein with every take, then fall silent. Or she’d ask Weitz for direction, or cut herself short with an expletive or burst of laughter. The tension of the scene always brightened once Weitz called “Cut!” — a Volturi actor would give Pattinson a hand up, or Stewart might wander off, snapping out of the moment. (After one take, Pattinson turned to Greene and playfully asked, “Does it look like I’m in pain?”)

Taylor Lautner was asked about the Bella/Jacob kiss:

As we wrapped up, someone remarked to Lautner that plenty of fans are eagerly anticipating the scene of Jacob and Bella’s first kiss.

“Yes. So am I.”

Chris Weitz (director)

About how far along to completion are you right now?

Well let’s see. I am about two weeks away from showing my director’s cut to the studio. I’ve got some wolves with fur, and some wolves are still invisible, basically. Let me see…Alexandre Desplat has just started working on his music for the film, and we are just starting to put together what bands are on the soundtrack, so it’s kind of like keeping ten plates spinning at once. But it’s all good, because we’ve got Alexandre Desplat, who I think is one of the greatest film composers living, and because of the strength of the franchise that I inherited, a lot of bands are really interested in working on the soundtrack. And we’ve got great visual effects people. That just leaves me, hopefully not dropping the ball in terms of editing together the story.

Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria)

The stunt work you’re doing, is the look from what you’ve been told is it going to look the same as it did in the first movie? Is it going to be any different like the wire work or feel different?

It’s so much wire work. It’s so much actual doing it, I think. In terms of the look of it, I don’t know exactly. I think Chris’ approach seems to be that it should be a little more raw, and a little more literally, grounded, so that I think it was very sort of flighty in the first ones when we were running fast and things like that. It was almost like you weren’t touching the ground. It was almost like kind of gliding thing and I think that the work we’ve been doing is a lot more like actual contact with the ground. You know, actually holding onto the trees rather than being able to just sort of float in them. So I think he’s factored gravity in maybe a little more than in the first film. So that might have a different look as a result.

So you actually have contact with some of the werewolves?

I have some potential. There’s like, sort of a chase thing. In “New Moon” you know how Victoria is trying to penetrate in, to get to Bella? And the wolves are protecting her? And they talked about, you know we chased Victoria here? So you’re going to see of bit of that “we chased Victoria here.”

Michael Sheen (Aro)

And how does it feel—having been a Lycan in the “Underworld” series—is it ironic to be now playing a vampire?

Yeah, it’s nice. Now I can, you know, bring out the other side of me—the vampiric side, rather than the werewolf side. I feel a bit like a traitor, that I’ve swapped sides. No, it’s nice. I’m glad. The vampires get to wear much cooler clothes, in “Underworld” and in this, so now I get to have a nice bit of tailoring instead of, you know, raggedy leather.

Charlie Bewley (Demetri)

“New Moon” is your first screen credit. Can you tell us how you got the role?

How I got involved in “Twilight” is that I just auditioned. And you know what? I went on to TwilightersAnonymous.com and I asked them about my character, for the first audition stage. They gave me some insight into who he was and everything. I read the book really quickly to find out about the character, and I just realized that a lot of him is about me. He’s this tracker. He obviously does a lot of running, and I do loads of running, so I just worked out of it.

Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black)

Will you try to bulk up even more for “Eclipse,” and put on more weight?

Yea, I am. Jacob continually grows throughout the series, so that means…no matter if I’m doing a film or not, I’m still going to have to put on a little bit more weight.

Have you had a chance to meet David Slade yet? Has he come to set or met anybody?

He came up here, briefly; I was in the middle of a stunt rehearsal, and he showed up with Wyck, one of our producers, and Wyck was like, “Hey, this is David.” And at that point he wasn’t signed on to the film and I had no idea who he was. Then all of a sudden he started putting up these ‘camera hands’ in my face; “Yeah, I think this would be a good angle right here.” And I’m just sitting there going, “What is he doing?” Then finally, as he’s doing it, Wyck says, “Oh, I probably should tell you who this is. This is David Slade. He’s probably going to be doing Eclipse.” I was like, “Oh, that makes sense now!”

Cameron Bright (Alec)

Do you have any instant fame or crazy fan stories to share? Something with the “Twilight” moms or anything?

[Laughs.] No not yet! I don’t know, I’ve only been here for two days, we have yet to see! I know when I first got here two days ago, right away two people hopped out the car outside the hotel, and are, “Cameron!” Obviously autograph collectors I guess, and they told me, “It’s your choice to go over to them or not.” I did, obviously; I’m not going to be an idiot. Went over and gave a couple of autographs, that’s about it. I mean, we’ll see what happens when it actually comes out.

We also sighted Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart throughout the day—not just while filming, but also walking by, joking (with an audible British accent) and laughing with each other with crew members in tow. No, they didn’t seem like a couple at the time, and I didn’t ever catch them holding hands. They were perfectly amiable co-stars.

Taylor Lautner is Team Jacob, of course!

He talked about his favorite scenes and says he’s torn between two: a “cool action scene” or “the break up.” Lautner felt sympathetic for his character while reading the books. “Bella’s toying with Jacob. She confused him. One moment, she wants to kiss him. The next moment, she’s ditching him for Edward!” Not to worry, Taylor. This movie hits it big with Team Jacob.

Weitz talks Aro and Michael Sheen

“On the surface, he’s terribly gracious, warm, a wonderful host, and at the same time, he’s absolutely lethal and frightening,” Weitz says. “I think that’s what Michael Sheen really managed to convey in portraying Aro.”

Rachelle Lefevre on doing some stunts 25 feet in the air

She has a stunt double, and she’s harnessed while shooting, but that doesn’t quell Lefevre’s fear of heights with all the shooting in the trees. “I’m absolutely terrified when I’m up there,” she says. “I’m like, ‘Wow, I don’t know how I’m gonna bring myself to jump from here, this freefall leap.’ And then they say ‘action’ and you just do it. It’s this bizarre thing where you don’t want to get all the way up there and then not do it. Failure’s just not an option.”

Christopher Heyerdahl talked with SciFi Wire about his experience on New Moon and becoming Marcus, the 3,000-year-old vamp who makes up one third of the powerful Volturi coven leadership (along with Aro and Caius). Heyerdahl is no stranger to playing scifi/fantasy characters and has happy to add Marcus to his resume.

“He’s one of the oldest vampires on the planet, and who doesn’t want to play a 3,000-year-old vampire?” Heyerdahl said. “The cast that I get to work with, like Michael Sheen. … We had so much fun goofing off together. It was an absolute hoot. Director Chris Weitz’s version for this piece is like a Renaissance painting. The images were absolutely beautiful, and the character is such a tragic old fellow.”

In addition, Christopher talks about his approach to Marcus. This might be a tad SPOILERy, if you haven’t read the books.

“Here’s how I approach him. When Marcus is brought in, he’s there against his will. He and his love tried to leave an awfully long time ago. Through a series of tragic circumstances, the love of his life was killed, and he’s now being forced to stay and use his powers for the betterment of the Volturi. He’s not exactly there, waking up and looking forward to eternity. When Edward and Bella come walking in, his ability to sense the power of their connection is something that wakes him up, brings him back from the boredom of that eternal life and sparks something in him that brings Marcus as close to excitement as he can get. That idea has to be contained and expressed as little as possible to his rather power-hungry captain-in-arms, Aro, which makes for a rather interesting conflict. You might not know it, but Marcus is pretty darn excited by this love that he witnesses. At the same time, it causes him great pain with the memory of what he had and lost. It was very complex to play, especially when you are doing it with so few lines. It will be interesting to see how it is cut together.”
