Congratulations to Nikki Reed for her new role in the film Snap! From Deadline:

Fresh off the Sundance premiere of their hip-hop film Filly Brown, Cima Productions has set a March 26 start date for Snap, a psychological thriller set in the world of underground dubstep. Jake Hoffman (Barney’s Version) will play a brilliant but painfully introverted musician who develops a crush on a young social worker. Twilight Saga‘s Nikki Reed will play that role. While she is initially drawn in by Jim’s musical genius, his inner demons spiral out of control when the romance fizzles, wiith shocking and tragic results.

Kristen Stewart:

2012 is shaping up to be KStew’s biggest year yet. In addition to saying goodbye to the character that made her a superstar, she is starring in the summer fantasy blockbuster “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Also featuring Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, the story is a darker twist on the classic fairy tale in which Snow White seems more like Joan of Arc than a fair maiden. Let’s just hope it’s better than last year’s “Red Riding Hood.” It couldn’t be worse.

On the other side of the movie spectrum, Stewart is also appearing in the relatively shoestring budgeted “On the Road.” I know I wrote about this film in last year’s preview, but it actually seems like it’s coming this year. Principal photography wrapped in 2010, so they’ve been in post over a year. Here’s hoping the Jack Kerouac classic will finally see the silver screen in 2012.

Robert Pattinson:

R.Pattz showed up at 2011′s Comic-Con with f—ed up hair and caused hundreds of Twi-hard teens to experience minor heart palpitations. “Has our only reason for living gone crazy?” they wondered. Their worries eased when they found out it’s only a haircut for his character in this year’s “Cosmopolis,” a film based on prolific writer Don DeLillo’s 13th novel. It’s being directed by dark genius David Cronenberg (“A History of Violence,” “Eastern Promises”), so Pattinson may finally have a shot at winning critics over with his serious side.

In March, we’ll finally get to see the long-promised movie “Bel Ami.” From the trailer, it seems like a Victorian period piece oin which Pattinson gets to make love to Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas. I can’t wait.

Taylor Lautner:

After the bomb known as “Abduction” dropped and sent Lautner’s camp scurrying for the bunkers, he and his team seem to be keeping things on the DL this year. Other than “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” Lautner doesn’t have any movies coming out in 2012. However, looking further on the horizon, he is planning a comeback in 2013 with the fantasy film “Incarceron,” alongside actress Kavinda Dissanayake. Lautner is also rumored to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in the action film “Goliath” next year. Do you think he’ll play The Rock’s son?

Peter Facinelli:

The veteran actor and Cullen father is making his big screenwriting debut with “Loosies,” opening this week. Facinelli also stars in the independent movie about a New York pickpocket who has a run of bad luck, including a former one-night stand (Jamie Alexander) telling him she’s pregnant  and a cop (Michael Madsen) having a vendetta against him. Look for Facinelli also to revive my all-time favorite character of his, Dr. Cooper, in season 4 of Showtime’s dark sitcom “Nurse Jackie” this year.

Jackson Rathbone:

Like his character Jasper Hale, Rathbone’s projects outside of “Twilight” are an enigma. “Zombie Hamlet” and “DaZ: Vol. Too – NonSeNse” are supposed to be released this year, but they were also supposed to be released last year. The indie “Live at the Foxes Den” looks promising, but there isn’t much information available. Finally, “Cowgirls n’ Angels,” in which Jackson plays a rodeo rider (but not a cowgirl), looks closest to completion.

Nikki Reed and husband Paul McDonald take to the trails with their canine friends in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (December 21).

The 23-year-old actress just returned from filming PAWN in Connecticut. The twosome will return to the east coast after the holidays.

Also starring Sean Faris, Stephen Lang, Marton Csokas, Jessica Szohr, Jonathan Bennett and Michael Chiklis, the indie flick is a story of a botched hostage situation that involves the mob.

Their first meeting was actually captured on film, and Reed was so taken with McDonald, she blushed and scurried away! The shyness quickly passed, and in the fall, over 100 guests gathered to witness their vows. Nikki looked beautiful in a Tacori gown, complete with a 72-inch train! Not every girl could pull off the princess look so well, but the 23-year-old movie star did it with ease.

“Thinkin About Somethin’- Hanson

In late 2010, Nikki wrote a lengthy blog post about her admiration of Oklahoma heroes Hanson, who wowed her with their video for “Thinkin’ About Somethin’”: “I must have watched it ten times in a row. It wasn’t just their obvious talent (i.e. their voices/songwriting ability/skills with multiple instruments) that got me, it was the subtle details throughout the video incorporating their sense of humor that makes them such unique artists.” Nikki’s now friends with the band.

“Lost in my Mind” – Head and the Heart

Nikki traveled to Tennessee in June to catch the Bonnarroo Music & Arts festival with Paul, writing with particular fondness of seeing this particular group: “We raced over to see The Head and the Heart, a band that I had been listening to on repeat for the last couple of weeks. Their last song made me cry. Something about that kind of passion, I so rarely see, gave me goose bumps, and he pointed them out.”

“The Man Sings About”- Laura Marling

Nikki is not the only Twilight cast member who counts British singer-songwriter Laura Marling among her favorites—Robert Pattinson is an avowed fan as well. But it was Nikki who said of this song, “It’s ‘that song’ that I used to play at maximum volume in my car over and over again. There was a time when I felt a deep connection with those lyrics. Now I just laugh when I hear it. All of her songs are amazing, I’m her biggest fan.

Taylor Lautner wants credit for his matchmaking skills. His “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” co-star, Nikki Reed, told us Lautner “seems to think he deserves a lot of credit” for her marriage to “American Idol” contestant Paul McDonald last month.

Reed, who attended the Cinema Society screening of the latest “Twilight” with her husband on Wednesday, explained that “Taylor is really into ‘American Idol’” and convinced her to begin following the show. So the brunette beauty was fully briefed when she met McDonald at the premiere of “Red Riding Hood” last March, and things progressed from there.

The newlyweds attended the DKNY-sponsored screening at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema, and stopped in briefly at the after-party at Sons of Essex. Her co-star Ashley Greene stayed longer and ended up fighting off the advances of a handful of flirty male lunkheads.

The actress tied the knot with former “American Idol” contestant Paul McDonald on Oct. 16 after dating for only seven months, but it seems the two have more than a passion for each other in common.

The lovebirds have just released their first single together, the predictably titled “Now That I Found You,” about – what else? – being head over Louboutins in lurrrrrve.

Reed, who began her Hollywood career by writing and starring in the cautionary tale “Thirteen,” has put her writing talents to use once again, penning the song’s lyrics while McDonald came up with the music.

The song, which debuted on Ryan Seacrest’s radio showon Monday, may be the first in a long line of collaborations between the couple if McDonald gets his way. Reed told Seacrest, “He wants to be a super team. I’m a little more shy. We’ve done some open mics together.”
