MTV Movie Awards Nominees Announced: Which noms did Twilight snag?

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards nominees have been announced. Twilight fans may be a little disappointed to see their film nominated in so few categories. See the two nominations below.

    The twilight movies aren't the best from these categories. My vote goes to The hunger games or Harry potter for movie of the year and best kiss to Emma Watson and Rupert grint. The kiss scene in breaking dawn when Bella and Edward got married was to drawn out. Almost made me want to fast forward the movie. I am a twilight fan, don't get me wrong, but the books are sooo much better.

    I agree with you, the book is so much better than the movie, well, it's part 1 like the Harry Potter's send to the last movie,remember? It was like “this is it?!”but the part two was good.I wish the Breaking Dawn's saving the best for last. This is the common misunderstanding bet Hunger Games & Twilight Saga, they are obviously 2 diff stories.Hunger Games was not that 99%good. I didn't even understnd @ 1st what's going on,i nevr read the books.

    Actually it did.  I don't know the actual rules but I think if the movie (and not just Hunger Games, any movie) has like a theatrical release date before a certain deadline, it can be nominated.  That's how it works for the Oscars (their deadline is usually December 25), so I think the MTV Movie Awards does the same thing.

    Breaking Down Part1 and could be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

    They are two different types of movies. Hunger Games is action based, fight for survival kinda film while Twilight is more romance based. To compare the two is a disservice to them both. They should be voted on by things like character arcs, plot, cinematography etc And most importantly, which film did you enjoy spending your hard earned money on most.

    Shenanigans! Considering BD1 has been the best one so far! When Edward is trying to save Zbella…I mean, Come On!!! And Taylor was phenomenal!

    I hope Breaking Dawn Part1 wins in both categories. It is a shame that it was not nominated for more. I am so excited for Part 2 to come out in November :)

    i cant believed taylor got snubbed for best fight i mean seriously he works his butt off and for what nothing. he is a black belt champion so in hindsight he can kick thier butts anytime .

    I really hope BD wins the Best Kiss Category!!! At LEAST.

    But I think I'm going to agree with some others here, I am a HUGE twilight fan but so far, Harry Potter has been snubbed in some of the major award shows this season and honestly, I think they deserve this Best Movie award. This is the end of an era, a generation. I grew up with Harry, as with countless others. It is a phenomenon and needs to be honoured BIG TIME. I will vote countless times for BD2 and all things Twilight related next season but for me, it's Harry Potter's time to shine and go out with a bang! =D

    What I think is crazy is the fact everyone always says they won't watch the MTV awards because Twilight wins too much, but heck this year its only in 2 categories. Harry Potter and Hunger Games are in more categories than Twilight but you don't hear anyone saying a thing about them. Just goes to show you people are just haters and hypocritical. BD defiantly gets my vote for the 2 categories its in although I do agree they should be in more.

    They had to cut Twilight out of a bunch of nominations due to the fact people were getting mad saying Twilight won too much. I guess MTV was afraid of losing viewers so they decided to try to be a people pleaser.

    I prefer the Peoples Choice awards, at least these are awards chosen by the fans and not , as in the MTV. awards, manipulated by the powers that be for their own ends!

    OMG I feel the same way!! How did we go from winning everything to not being nominated at all…this sucks and I don't think I will watch it!
