Bill Condon Addresses Breaking Dawn Part 2 Reshoots!

Bill Condon went to the Official Twilight Facebook to address the Breaking Dawn Part 2 reshoot rumors! Here is what he had to say!

Hello Twihards!

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.

A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece – each shot, no matter how brief – needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots – the last tiny missing pieces. We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.

I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…

I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters — they’re unlike any “Twilight” images you’ve seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!

Don't want the twilight saga to end ever. But i also can't wait to see Breaking dawn part 2, I love twilight so much!!!!

I think that the Twilight Saga was fantastic in the books as well as on screen... did they cut a lot of the book out yep... but Stephanie was there through the making of all of them and she seemed to be pleased with what they decided to go as so I would say that is all that mattered.

Breaking Dawn 1 could have been much longer and the fans would have definitely approved hopefully Breaking Dawn 2 is three hours recapturing all that Breaking Dawn 1 missed that would be awesome... :)

i dont want it to end andd when he said pop in those gold contacts on last time i want to cry :'( STEPHANIE pleas write another book even if it is on jacob PLZ !!!!! WE LOVE IT !!!!! and i thought breaking dawn part 1 was the best one yet and breaking dawn will prob be even better !!!

The ONE thing I think of when I hear "re-shoots" is Rob's hair & the fact that he has NONE!!! Do re-shoots with Edward now mean that we're going to have some cheesy wig scenes with him???????

That just makes me have mixed feelings... happy and sad. "popping the gold contacts in for the last time" that just is so surreal. its hard to believe that this is over. it makes me so sad but happy to be a part of it throughout the entire series.

The twilight films really are quite remarkable and not in a good way! They are cheesy, slushy and the only person that can actually act out of everyone is Taylor, he makes the films watchable. However I adore the books they are beautifully written and because of this I am drawn to the films because I want to see what happens. I'm glad some of the stunts are being perfected because some of them have been laughable. Cannot wait for the last film though as I'm dying to see vampy Bella (although it will probably be rubbish) :^)

Hope you read the book because whomever put Breaking Dawn 1 out did not read the book or did not care that the movie was the furthest from the book out of all the twilight movies! There is no law that says a movie has to be less than 2 hours. Most twilight fans would not have minded the movie being 2 1/2-3 hours to include some of the book in it, like Bella and Edward telling Charlie they were getting married!

Love all of the books and the movies!!! Still can't understand why Stephanie won't continue the saga!!! There are Soooo many storylines left to tell. The movies have only told Rosalie's story, and bits of Carlye, Edward, and Eseme's beginning's. There's so much more, that the movies could build on! The entire saga, thus far, have been told from Bella's prespective...
Unveiling the story from Edward's point of view, would be great!!

I've read that the story has to end because the actors are aging, and vampires don;t age..
Well... If the miracle of cinematography can make Bella look like an emaciated skeleton, in BDI, I have know doubt that they can air brush a few wrinkles away!

Is there going to be a Premier for Part 2 in Australia? If there is could someone please comment letting me know where and when... if there is one. It would be highly appreciated! Thanks :)

Reshoots never mean well. That is definitely not a good thing. However, I would hope the reshoots would be for the ending, since I hate it, because whomever they screened it too were unhappy with the 'showdown'. But I doubt it. SM was pretty stern on having it end so anti-climatically in the film as well. I also hate reshoots because usually the cast never looks how they originally did when filming.

CANT WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE, AND THE POSTERS SOUND INTRIGUING!~ SAD TO THINK THE END OF TWILIGHT MOVIES IS IN SIGHT, but then we have THE HOST movie in 2013 to look forward to :-)

Can hardly wait to see Twilight 2. So excited to see how Renesmee fits in with the others. Bella will be a fantastic mom. The little girl that plays Renesmee is beautiful.

Well I hope it's better than Breaking Dawn 1, Alice had shorter hair, and if you read the books they can't cut or grow their hair! And why is Carlisle brown haired instead of the gorgeous blonde he was in Twilight??? All their wigs look horrible compared to the original Twilight movie when the budget was minuscule!

Umm...I've read the books many times, and still reading them cause I love the saga, and there's nothing in any of the books that talks about their hair, whether they can grow it or not. Just sayin :-)
