That was hardly a trailer, it does not show anything about the movie, just as well I read the book or you would not know what it was going to be about.

I recall reading The Host but I never finished it because it was weird and hard to understand. But maybe I'll pick it up again.

I read the book!! Love very very much!~ it's one of my favourite!!! :) I'm waiting for the next book "The Seeker" and for this film!!! :)

Theres no way the movie will be as good as the book but I sure hope it at least comes close.

I had a really hard time getting into the book as well Jen , read a couple chapters and tossed it in my closet , But I am looking forward to the movie , it looks interesting from what I have seen .

I have read the book. It does take a little while to get into it but once you do, it is really a great book. The eyes show if you are human or host. I would like to see the movie just to see if it goes along with the book. It is definitely not the Twilight Saga but still a good read.

I couldn't have worded this better..The Host had to be the hardest book ever to get into but once i did i LOVED it. Definitely a great book but definitely not the Twilight saga!

You can't really get much from this trailer, but the book is really good!

I loved the novel far more than the 'Twilight' series.  It had more depth.  And the purpose of showing everyone's eyes, which all had that silver rim, was that everyone is the 'same' now.  There's no more individuality.  I can't wait until next March to see this movie!
 

TBH, not a huge twilight fan, but loved this book! Takes a little while perhaps to get really interesting but the film should be good! For those who haven't read the book, aliens take over people's body's and the eye thing is the only thing that gives them away. They're non violent and honest to each other they just need a host to survive. But then the consciousness of the person sometimes remains. I'll leave the rest of the plot but it is interesting!

The only thing that is not like in the book, is that the silver ring is suppose to be seen only with a light directed in the eyes!

I needed alittle bit more to kind of understand the movie, just like the book was hard to get into that I stopped reading it and gave it away. nothing compaired to twilight. what does looking at peoples eyes and faces tell you about a perfect world? maybe It's just not for me.

Agreed the first 20 pages were confusing cause you didn't know what was happening but so worth continuing, and it is better than twilight.

It shows that they are no longer human. Their bodies have been taken over by the aliens. It is a bit slow in the beginning of the book, but I think it's worth the read.  

Hope its as good as the book!!!!
