Casting for Denali coven announced

Summit Entertainment put out a press release today announcing the full casting of the Denali vampire coven for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn! So here are their photos, along with links to their IMDb pages and links to the information about their characters over at Twilight Lexicon, in case you need your memory jogged.

Eleazer will be played by Christian Camargo.

Kate will be played by Casey LaBow.

Carmen will be played by Mia Maestro.

Tanya will be played by MyAnna Buring.

And as previously announced, Irina will be played by Maggie Grace.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN — The Denali Coven Casting Update

Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Denali Coven as outlined below.

The Denali Coven is comprised of Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) as Eleazar; Casey LaBow (Moonlight) as Kate; Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) as Carmen; MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) as Tanya; as well as previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) as Irina.

The Denali Coven is the only other “vegetarian” vampire coven in the world, considered cousins to the Cullens.

The next chapter of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011 and the second coming to theatres on November 16, 2012.

Academy AwardÂ® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The project, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyerâ€™s Twilight series, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing.

I think Rachael McAdams would have done better in Tanya's case. She has beautiful strawberry blonde hair and looks kind of like how Stephanie descrobed Tanya. I don't think that was the best they could do but the rest are great. OHHHHH maybe Kate and Tanya's actresses should switch roles.That is a good idea as well.

I imagined Tanya as gorgeous, A tinged red-blonde hair, sort of curly, tall, slim figure, heart shaped face,delicate / icy features but somehow still very ... warm looking (? I couldn't think of the word, I was like, draw blank. LOL) And I think Eleazar was a good match to how he was in my head. I really want to see how Garrett comes out, and Liam and Siobhan? All of them, more like it. hahaha. :)

YES --- switch TANYA and KATE!!!!!!! As soon as I saw "Kate's" pic, I was like "oh wow, they did a REALLY good job casting Tanya" ... but then I looked over at the character/actress name and was like "Wait, what? Why?? She already has the strawberry blonde hair and she's gorgeous (Bella would/should definitely be jealous!). When I saw the REAL "Tanya", I just shook my head :\

And YES again --- I always pictured Eleazer much "older", like a father-figure type guy. Maybe because he mentioned that he was part of the Volturi and Aro is a bit "older" looking than the Cullens???

Either way --- SWITCH KATE AND TANYA!!!!!!!! lol

I thought the same thing! I was about to check the part of the book where he is described because I imagined him older too and maybe I read something wrong, idk.
But we would need to see him with make up on. If I had seen a pic of micheal sheen before playing Aro, I would have never thought he could play him. Maybe this is the same case.

That is exactly what I thought! I saw him in like his late 30's early 40's a little chunky and really wise looking with an olive tone.....He doesn't look like Eleazer to me at all really.

That's exactly what I thought! Tanya is supposed to be gorgeous. So gorgeous that everyone thought Edward should be with her. No offense to that actress, but she isn't anywhere near Rob Pattinson's league. They should definitely switch them.
