i believe smoking is a personal choice... does that mean i smoke? no i don't i havent tried it and i dont want to. im not offended by people who do it. its their choice, just like drinking. i drink on the occasion, and i would be upset if someone told me i couldnt because they think its bad.

and i agree with lil_purplestreawberry my neice is4 and she loves the tilight saga and she loves jasper except in twilight because he couldn't control hisself and tried to kill bella

I don't think its right but if they wanna smoke its their desicion.I meen we can't control othr peoples lives.

I for one, hate smoking all together. And find it VERY unattractive. So, in my opinion, I find the cigarettes/smoking props pretty disgusting.These actors & actresses are way too beautiful/handsome... and just dont need the yucky cigarettes in their hand. lol. But hey, that's my opinion. And EVERYONE is entitled to their own.

I honestly think it makes the man less sexy. It is a disgusting habit, if they want to smoke that is fine but they don't have to have pictures taken while smoking. It sets a bad example for all the teens in the world.

i thought that one of Rob's idols was James Dean... and if you look at the pics you see that... and i think that it looks great... ps... i USED to smoke and quitting was a PERSONAL choice that i did for myself and regardless of what people say and do... that is all it will be, a personal choice! And... if it IS being used as a prop... then it is ART... how the art it put to use is a different story all together.

smoking is not a bad thing people. Sure would rather them be smoking then drinking till they cant walk . People need to understand if they want to smoke its up to them not us.

i overall think smoking is unattractive and having one of my favorite actors pose in a photo shoot doing this activity is not appealing whatsoever. Its just not needed.

On the other hand if they would like to smoke on their own terms let them be. They can do whatever damage they would like to their bodies.

i'm not that goody-two shoes girl but smoking is gross, no matter who does it. i can't stand the smell when someone drives thru with a ciargette in their hand (unfortunately that happens quite often at work). it's really tragic that many actors/actresses smoke cuz it looks cool or whatevs. it's like they don't even try to quit cuz they think we as fans embrace their habits as a part of their personality. not this one. i know for some people smoking's a part of their normal upbringing but still. actrors/actresses smoking makes it look like smoking's not gonna ruin ur life, but guess what? it will. i've sen one too many scary vids on that subject

smoking is their choice if they wanan smoke nothing wrong with that aslong as they don't encourage fans to start then no harm is done plus if fans do start the stars can't be blmaed because it's not as if they said go on smoke it's wat makes u cool

Honestly.. Its a free country for a reason.. If they want to smoke then that is up to them.. I started smoking when I was 12, still do. I watched my grandfather, who was my best friend, die from lung cancer when I was 11. Children are all different and do things for different reasons. For me it was the fact my parents told me all the time to never smoke, it was bad for you, as they took another drag off of their smoke. I didn't like the fact they were telling me not to do something because it was bad, but yet they were. Children may look up to characters they like, but they also look up to their parents. You can tell your children not to do something all you want but its their decision. I doubt any parent wants to see their child smoking but most people do anyways. You cant protect them from seeing it done, the best you can do is educate them about it and hope they make the right decision. I would be more worried about your child's friends than the people they watch on a tv screen. They are the ones they see everyday and share things with. Not their favorite movie star.

Smoking is a personal choice and while I may not smoke I have nothing against anyone else doing it. It's their life. Please, we barge in on these stars' lives enough as it is. Let's not tell them what they can and can't do!

im a teen, myself, and i absolutely LOVE Twilight! i have read all of the books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn; and even the part of Midnight Sun that Stephenie Meyer put on her website, and im now anxiously awaiting for the book The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner to be returned to the public library. i love everything about the Twilight series, books and movies. i am fully aware that a lot of the cast members, like rob and kristen, are smokers, but i'm not gonna go run out and try a cigarette. my grandmom just recently died from smoking, so i am against smoking, but i understand that a lot of people in this world still do it. as for rob and kristen, if they want to smoke, then that's their decision, but i don't think that big stars like them should be promoting smoking. now i know that they aren't saying stuff like "go smoke! it's healthy for you and so much fun!" like i know they're not doing that, but kids and teenagers google their names, and pictures of them smoking comes up. now i know that i have already said that i am a huge Twilight fan, and i have googled pictures of the cast, and the smoking pictures kinda turn me off, but that also isn't going to stop me from seeing Breaking Dawn when the movies come out into theaters. also, about the whole sex thing, if you don't want your kids knowing about that then it's as simple as don't let them read the books and watch the movies, but most teens are fully aware of that kind of stuff, but kids 7 years old? i can understand parents not wanting 7 year olds to know that. but in the honeymoon part at Isle Esme in Breaking Dawn, they don't necessarily come right out and say it, your mind fills it in with however you want to think of it, but then again Bella becomes pregnant so you can obviously tell what went on then. still, this is nothing new to teenagers. back to the main discussion topic here... Twilight is very popular, and some kids or teens might think 'oh look, rob and kristen are smoking, it must be cool then, let's start smoking' but i also know that all kids and teens aren't like that. if rob and kristen and the rest of the cast want to smoke, then let them, its their life, its there decision, but i don't think that they should be using cigarettes as a photo shoot prop

I don't think that smoking should be a part of a photo shoot. Not because I think it glamourizes smoking, but that smoking isn't really an essential part of a photo shoot. I think it is a disgusting habit, but a personal choice. I have asthma and am allergic to cigarette smoke, and this was partially cause by growing up with a dad who smoked, but has since quit. I just think it is sad that Robert, Kristen, and other young people pick up the habit when there is so much research and media about the ill effects of smoking. It's sad that they are subjecting themselves and those around them to the effects of smoking

You know, I don't like smoking in real life, but I think sometimes in a movie, or a tv show, or even a photo shoot, you kind of need the character you are trying to portray to smoke. And I have to say, I like all of the pictures. I think they all look great!!

Off topic, but I wonder what would happen if the Cullens / any vampire smoked a cigarette? Or drank alcohol? I guess they wouldn't get drunk or anything would they...? LOL

It doesn't mean that if someone smokes, they're bad ppl or they're gg to die early. My grandad smokes since he was a teen and now he's 70 and still smoking and thank god he's still healthy without any kind of illnesses. I see my grandad, dad and uncles smoke everyday in front of me but I don't smoke coz they've taught me enuff the consequences of smoking. I even learnt a lot frm school, television & etc. I love the Twilight Saga and Rob & Kristen are my role models. I study and take in every good things that they did and put aside the bad ones. Most of the Twilight fans are old enuff to differentiate between the good and the bad. And we cant expect the cast to quit smoking just because of the fans. To me, them smoking doesn't affect me at all. In fact, they look HOTTER when doing it! Hahaha! :D
