Vampire Diaries is a million times better than Twilight will ever be.
I like Twilight, but I'm not crazy obsessed.
Vampire Diaries is written a lot better than Twilight is, and has better storylines. I could go on a major rant right now but I won't, I'm tired and I can't be bothered.

i am srry to break it 2 u but the oly person out of their minds is u ,u are on a TWILIGHT website ,no offence but u will find TWILIGHT fans here ,i am srry i but i dnt like vampire diaries more than twilight .the twilight saga has better storylines whether u want to face that fact or not .maybe u shud try visiting a VAMPIRE DIARIES next time .u may also want to keep in mind that every1 has their opinions and arent ur clones .its the ther way around TWILIGHT owns VD ,the only reason they gt their jobs is bcoz of twilight as they too admit .

Yes, I realise that I'm on a Twilight website, I typed the website into the address bar. I said that I like Twilight, but I'm not a crazy fan, but I like to keep updated on the latest Twilight stuff.
And Twilight having better storylines? Don't make me laugh, you should see some of the storylines the writers of VD have come up with.
Yes I know people aren't my clones, I'm not dumb.
And yes, vampire diaries is succesful because of Twilight. The whole vampire thing got majorly popular because of the success of Twilight, which I am aware of. I'm not dumb, but VD has set itself apart from Twilight, it's grown and developed. Twilight just opened up the vampire franchise, which gave more stories room for success.

Love both Vampire Diaries and Twilight saga...but have to say still prefer Twilight xx

hahah. I'm not a fan of vampire diaries (I don't like Vampires-I hate the fang/blood neck biting stuff. I just laugh at it and it pisses me off. If it was in Twilight I couldn't do it.) So I've never seen VD but that's cool that they can admit that. That's a huge reason why I was opposed to watching the show. And the sex thing was funny XD But that's what I love about Twilight...it's going down as a classic love story and a lot of aspects that love revolves around in todays culture are missing (as in sex, sex, sex, sex) and it is still huge. That's awesome. Plus twilight I don't relate to at all with vampires. I think more of an amazing story of the study of human nature relating to love, life, and political aspects than I do freaking vampires.

I love the Vampire Diaries... and Twilight. But I have to say, I do love the Vampire Diaries more. Jeezzzz I love Ian too <3.

I have to say though, I do love the Vampire Diaries and True Blood as well. But I was like, nonononono when the interviewer asked if they spit on Robert Pattinson's name. I give Ian mad props for attributing the shows' success to Twilight; because it's very true. Other than buffy, you didn't see a whole lot of vampires in the main stream pop culture.
