Xavier Samuel Wants to Bring “Bree Tanner” to the Big Screen

Xavier has revealed that he hopes that Stephanie Meyer’s novella ‘The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner’ will be made into a movie. The fans certainly want more of this Australian newborn, but the story is said to maybe be too graphic/violent to be made into a film. Have you all read ‘Bree Tanner’ yet?

The Australian actor told DigitalSpy that he would ‘kill’ to be a aprt of the franchise for a while longer.

He said: “I don’t know, I can only hope.

“I would kill to be a part of these stories for longer, you never know!”

However, during the Eclipse press converence, David Slade told us that the novella may be too violent to reach the big screen.

“It’s really violent” he said.

“I remember talking to Stephenie about it and saying I thought it would make a decent movie but it would have to be R-rated because there’s so much description of violence. She only watches PG-13 movies, she won’t R-rated movie, she refuses.”

it wouldn't be all that much different than eclipse. i read it, and its almost like just more 'behind the scenes' of eclipse. its kind of just more of whats going on in Seattle.

I would certainly LOVE it. I don't care if it is PG-13 or R, I would still watch it...

I loved Bree Tanner but im not sure about the movie. Gore doesn't bother me, but i think i'd be too short for a big movie.

I have read the book and it's very very good. The story flows effortlessly beautiful. I was hoping to see some of it in the Eclipse movie. I would be so overjoyed if they decide to turn the book into a movie but if it's rated R, I don't think I would be able to watch it :(

I don't care if its R. It is cool! I would like it to be on the big screen. It could be a little extended. I also want Xavier and Jodelle to obviously be part of it. I can't see it without them!

I read Bree Tanner and I thought it was fabulous! It gave me such a great insight into the minds of newborns and how a human life is so insignificant to them. I think it should stay a fabulous novella,however(:

I actually just finished reading Bree Tanner and i thought it was a great book. It would make a good movie bcuz you get the point of view of the newborns and how they didnt know any better. But i agree with most of you about Stephanie writing so violently and yet she doesnt like R rated movies..doesnt make sence

i have read the book, and is very interesting but for a movie is short and a little violent, but i agree with karenlyl, i'm curious for the characters of Diego n Fred

I don't know if I would want it made into a movie either. Even tough it was a good book I don't think it would make a good movie. The book is more about feelings and discovery. I don't think it is a very violent book. They just need to be creative on what to keep out to keep a pg13 movie. And I also believe that if Stephanie M. cant see an R rated movie than she shouldn't be writing R rated books. Just my opinion.

I have read Bree Tanner but... I'm not sure if I want it to be made into a film although I am DYING to see who they will cast as Diego and Fred :P (if they make it into a film, that is.)
