Courtney Love thinks RPattz as Kurt Cobain is “stupid”

According to HeatWorld, Courtney Love is not too excited about the rumor that Rob Pattinson could play her late husband Kurt Cobain in a film.Â While it has pretty much been confirmed that Rob will not be doing this role, this does sound like something Courtney Love might say…

Hereâ€™s a bit of news that quite a lot of Nirvana fans will be relieved to hear. Courtney Love has slammed rumours that Robert Pattinson is being lined up to play Kurt Cobain in a biopic about the singerâ€™s life, saying the idea is “stupid”. It was reported that Courtney and Pattz had been in touch and that she very much wanted him for the part. Now it seems that may have just been wishful thinking by the film company. â€œWho would cast him?â€ Courtney ranted. â€œThatâ€™s just wrong, no offense. Itâ€™s silly.â€ She added that sheâ€™sd prefer someone like Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy to take the part, but admitted sheâ€™d probably never even watch the finished product as it would be â€œtoo difficultâ€. Are you glad Courtneyâ€™s pooh-poohed all over the Pattz idea, or do you think he wouldâ€™ve been perfect?

I figured she would react that way but all she has to base anything off of is twilight and all she sees is a bubble gum "oh my gawd hez soooo hawt" kinda actor when he is anything but that. I really think he coulda pulled it off. But if she wants to think that then screw her.

i don't think kurt cobain's fans give a flying flip what courtney love says. i know i don't... she can't even take care of the child she had with him for crying out loud!

I dont think Rob is right for the part at all. Courtney had a right to say what she said, Kurt is her late husband after all. But in a way i agree that people gets all pissy over stupid stuff. It is just a movie

I don't think it really matters WHO would play the part. Rob or not. Nirvana was a great band, and Rob DOES have the grunge look going for him, but either way, it's not a HUGE deal. BTW: no offense, but when was the last time Courtney Love was sober?

I think Rob would have been great, he puts his self totally into the part. This false story, is just another example of media bashing. Am tired of people who don't get it . AND, I think he'd totally rock the musical as well as acting aspects of the part. He'd look so great with the blond hair too. No I donnnnnnnnnt have a gunnnnnnnnnnn.. I can just hear it with his beautiful voice. Am glad its not true and he doesn't have to deal with crazy Courtney.

I second that guys. Though I will also had that for someone who lived through Nirvana and that woman. I can tell you that not everyone agrees with her view when it comes to her managing Cobain's legacy. And seriously the choice of actors that she gave?! They are amazing actors that I adore, but to play Kurt Cobain, actually Patterson is more like him when we talk about fame and popularity. I would personally choose a nobody to play Cobain! If he was still alive River Pheonix would have been A-MA-ZING!!!

i thought it was so stupid for people to get all uproared over this... as if robert pattinson is just the worse of the worse! people were being down-right rude and offensive as if it was robert BEGGING for this role when he probably doesnt even know about this rumor! its a FREAKIN MOVIE! its not reality. its just a portrayal. people swear like kurt was a god. he was a drugged out grunge musician... cant be the most difficult role to play for an actor. while i like nirvana, i wouldnt care WHO played any of the characters.
