okay im kinda mad. i was away on a trip so my mom got me my DVD and she got the 2 disc and mine doesn't have the Eclipse sneak peaks or the deleted and extended scenes...

i recieved my copy of new moon today and i'm a very happy girl the only thing i will say is that the movie misses alot of the soul of the books that i loved like the way edward pulls away from bella before he leaves and the journey between bella and jacob and how their friendship develops in this book, i loved all these books and the journey i felt i went on while reading them and want to say a massive thank you to stephenie meyer and hope she finishes midnight sun xx

hi everyone my copy of new moon came today and im a very happy girl to i've watched it twice already the only thing i will say about it is that they miss all the soul of the book for me i loved all the edward pulling away from bella before he leaves her and the journey between bella and jacob as there friendship develops, i cant wait for eclipse to come out and have loved every minute of the twilight saga thanx stephenie meyer and hope u finish the midnight sun xx

Well it may be a perfect portrayal of the book, but in that case, the book and movie isn't to my taste. The way Bella wallows in her pain spoils the movie. I know, she was feeling the pain of losing her first love, but it was still ridiculously drawn out and.. well.. depressing. Who wants to read a depressing book/movie? We have got enough of that in our own lives. There is one word to describe New Moon- “Emo”.

new moon the movie was depressing 'cause the book is depressing and if the movie wasnt depressing then it would suck 4 fans that had read the books. new moon its about loosing your first love and thats painful and depressing andd all that. so for me new moon the movie was perfect

no way!!!! the book new moon is the worst because it has hardly any edward!!! what makes the books good is because they are about edward and Bella. Jacob is just anoing. He just complicates a beautiful love story and mucks up bellas mind. Edward and Bella are the best couple in history and Jacob is a minor and insignificant part of this epic story!!!!! I have read the books more than 10 times ok!!!!!
p's obviously I feel very strongly…….

Hello im from the UK, not sure if this applys if you are in the us?

The deleted/extended scenes arnt on my second disc they are on the one with the movie on it. if not they will be on the second disc 3rd page down.

also i was looking for that scene outside the house, but it wasnt there – but the scene where she is talking about the vampires is in the exteneded scene outside the house when Jacob tries to stop Bella from going to Italy – she says “maybe Jacob is right – they could see me as his accomplice, and your a human who knows too much about vampires – they could kill us all” – check it out.

Simyimp again. I have a few more observations - does anyone have the answers for me: -

1) where is the deleted scenes, as featured as a still in the New Moon Illustrated Movie Companion with Edward and Alice outside Bella's house?

2) where are the deleted scenes that were used in the official trailers last years i.e./ Alice is Bella's trucking saying "you're a human that knows way too much about us, they could kill us all" - would have been good to see where CW would have fitted it in. The other scene from the trailer is the one where you actually see Bella say "vampires have laws"

There seems to be a lot of inconsistencies about this DVD and I know Summitt probably rushed it out for us eager fans, but I hate it when there are a lot of questions unanswered.

If it turns out that Summitt/E1 have split the deleted scenes and extended scenes between two different DVD versions I will be hugely disapointed. Its just not fair. They can't seriously expect us fans to go and buy 2/3 different versions of the same DVD with extras. Tut.

Please can someone shed a bit of light?! Thank you x

OMG, please help?!?! I can't find the 'extended scenes' option on my DVD menu?! It says it has them on the back of the box, but I can't locate them anywhere on the menu. Can anyone else/point out whether they're hidden under a different heading? I would have expected them to be after 'deleted scenes', but nothing? Boo hoo hoooo. I feeling a bit desperate about this!

I haven't read the books, I'm more one to see the movies instead of reading the books. I used to read books all the time but I guess my life changed.
I have to say that I loved Twilight, but New Moon had a completely different feel to it. It was much more depressing than Twilight and didn't have the spark to it. There are several scenes in New Moon that I do enjoy though, such as Bella's birthday party; Bella hanging out with “the wolves” after she finds out the truth about Jacob; and when Alice and Jacob meet at Bella's house. I love the comedy in these. I know these movies aren't comedies but I would still prefer more light-hearted, interesting scenes like these rather than constantly seeing Bella in pain. In twilight there was much more variety and intriguing qualities to it, such as the characterisation of the school and it's students. Even their biology teacher is portrayed in a fantastic way. Wish I had had a teacher like that in school.

Yes I know that New Moon is mostly about Jacob and Bella. But, it's about Bella pining over Edward the whole time. Even when Jacob is starting to make her feel better, she wants Edward. The whole series IS about Edward and Bella's love story. The movie hypes this up as a whole “love triangle” but it was obvious the whole time reading Eclipse that Bella would not pick Jacob. So, in New Moon it would have been great to see E & B reunited properly instead of a measly 5 minutes.

Yeah, New Moon is about Jacob and Bella mostly, but there is still lots of Edward missing, and they filmed the scenes that i wanted and cut them out!!

1. like the car scene – that was deleted! which WAS in the book!!
2. the plane scene – that was also not in the film and it was an important part to me. I love it.

they left in the wrong scenes and took out the right ones.

also what was with mexican jacob – “where have you been loca” – next he will be wearing a sombraro and singing la coca racha. lol! its a running joke between me and my sister.

Yeah I know!! I mean they cut out some of my favourite scenes from new moon, like the car scene (where edward talks about her having a normal boyfriend) and the plane scene. I love it!

Im just hoping Eclipse will have more Edward in it and lets hope that Jacob isnt as cocky as he is in the books! it f**ks me off lol. xx

What have you been reading? There is HEAPS of Jacob and Bella in the books, the whole story pivots around the love triangle until Breaking Dawn, and even then there is still a huge importance of jacob, My suggestion go re-read the books another 4 or 5 times and take note of how much jacob is there.. Other than Twilight he is there most of the time. Especially in New Moon, its all about him and bella and not about Edward at all for chapters at a time,..

As for the extended scenes the way they have cut them was perfect to make the movie flow, was nice to see what could have been tho..

I agree. The problem with the Twilight and New Moon movies is that there is not enough Edward and Bella. I could give a crap about Jacob…no matter what anyone says, the books are about Edward and Bella. NOT Jacob and Bella. Ugh it annoys me…the way E & B are portrayed is so weird..they're so like overly cautious and serious around each other and I know at points it was like that in the book but not most of the time. Melissa Rosenberg is a crappy screenwriter who I believe does not understand the characters as well as she thinks she does. Hopefully Eclipse will be better.

yeah, mine came from play.com on tuesday! amazon and Play.com always send it a week early, so you always end up getting it before other countries anyway
