Don’t count on ‘Breaking Dawn’ in 3D

I’m not sure where this 3D rumor started. I have thought all along it doesn’t make sense. Then, apparently a fake press release went out today announcing that Breaking Dawn would be in 3D. Gossip Cop confirms it isn’t true:

Earlier today a press release went out claiming, among other things, that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn â€œwill be split into two movies, and filmed in 3D.â€

But that â€œpress release is inauthentic,â€ a rep for Summit Entertainment confirms exclusively to Gossip Cop.

The rep, who further called the release â€œfabricated,â€ added that no official decision has been made about the division of Breaking Dawn, but that Summit is working with author Stephenie Meyer to bring her vision to the big screen with all the â€œcreative elementsâ€ necessary.

Meanwhile, a well-placed source tells Gossip Cop that, while splitting Breaking Dawn is likely, filming it in 3D is a longshot.

I am so sick of all these 3D movies coming out. I totally understand having to make Reneesmee CG, but come on 3D is a little over the top. I really hope Summit makes the right decision to split the movies into 2 and chooses a good director. So far based on the Eclipse trailer that I've seen I like David Slades Shooting. He uses alot of natural light. Although I guess I can't fully judge till I see the movie in June.

i really dont like 3D. some things are awesome in 3D while others are stupid. movies loose the story with them trying to throw things in ur face.

thank goodness! a little baby renesmee.... bloody and the fight and the first meal. i think the sparkles would look weird in 3D. it would just hurt our eyes and make our heads hurt. so im not in any way hurt by this summit :D
