Taylor is willing to lose muscle for the right role

Taylor Lautner tells Digital Spy that he would be willing to lose weight, and, therefore, all that Jacob Black muscle, for a role if it was one he really loved.

The actor transformed his image before filming last year’s Twilight instalment New Moon in order to reflect the physical changes of his character Jacob Black.

Discussing the challenge of bulking up, Lautner told Top Of The Pops magazine: “The only reason I did it is because the character required it and I love the character.

“So, in a year from now, if I fall in love with a character that requires me to lose weight, I’m ready to do it.”

The 18-year-old has previously confessed that he is wary of being seen as “just a body” following his shirtless scenes in New Moon.

i get his point completely and 100 percent but i will definitely miss his smoking hot body. but he needs to know that i love him for everything that others don't care about like: his black belt in martail arts, (i do judo and jui jitsu) his cute smile , his sweet laugh , his blow off attitude to all things insulting (he takes it as a comment when kristen says something that would have hurt some one else ) , his confidence , his backflips (amazing and shows his personality) , his teeth (he takes care of himself unlike rob) , i dont care hes hot , or hes jacob black (although thats very nice) the point is i love him for the amazing guy that he really is inside and i usually dont say this much at a time but he is my inspiration for everything in my life as he is a wonderful person. just read everyone elses post they all say hes HOT or CUTE but thinks hes SO much more. thank you taylor daniel lautner for existing in my world (you light it up like my own personal sun). aneisha green email: aneishabgreen@gmail.com . if you read this taylor please please talk to me .it would mean everything to me, EVERYTHING. love you.

okayy. people really need to stop thinking that Taylor Lautner is just an icon. He's a person just like you and me whos had a once in a lifetime oppourtunity to be apart of "The Twilight Saga" . Taylor is Taylor. Hes not just 'a body' hes a person. Taylor is awesome, but respect him as a PERSON. not just as an 'icon'

Personally I am all for Taylor. But not just because he has a great body and because hes famous. If he were living in my neighborhood I would totally be interested in him as a PERSON.
He respects us, we respect him.

actually, im glad he said that. it means he's a really dedicated actor.
and his afraid people are just loving him for his looks (which is exactly what's happening), he wants to show that his a good actor.
what's wrong with us, twilight fans, is that were loving the looks instead of there acting.
watch the movie, and look more at them, not phisically, but the way the act, there connection as actors-actriz. you'll understand what i mean.

for me honestly....i hav liked him from way before twilight was even gonna be released....and he was the only reason i really looked into the jacob character and i actually really love jacob..
he would be a perfect man for any girl...we see him in a negative way because thts how u read him in the book....but hey its not his fault he fell in luv...
but bak to the topic....taylor is a good actor..
after he started bulking up my friends just thought i likd him for the muscle but tht is soooo not true...i rather prefer him without the muscle really.. =]

I wish he wouldn't but I don't really care about the muscles, but don't get me wrong I do think he is hawt with them, but if he wants to lose them for a role then I'm all up for it. We don't chose for him, the muscles r his, if he likes a differ character then he has the right to get rid of them.

back at ya!! I think Jacob (at least how its shown in the books) its just an inmature jerk. Maybe hes fun to be around and as a friend hes pretty good but he can NOT be compared to edward. all the team Jacob's have to admit edward its a better lover. and im not a freaak of edward (cause after all hes just a character) but if he existed even if hes was ugly or whatever, i think i would completly love him.... thats my opinion.

Yes, the muscle looks good, but if he finds a role he fees passionate about and he needs to lose it, then so be it. I respect that.
