Kellan Lutz will NOT be Conan the Barbarian

E! Online’s Marc Malkin confirms that Kellan Lutz lost out on the role of Conan the Barbarian for the film remake to Stargate: Atlantis star Jason Momoa. Bummer for Kellan! Would have been a great role for him.

  • I think that whoever is producing and distrubiting this movie made a mistake by not choosing Kellan. Conana the barbarian is a guys movie, teenage girls and even adult women tend not to be too interested in that sort of stuff but with Kellan Lutz as Conan they would all go see that movie just for him. Therefore ensuring success of the movie and making it bring in more money.

  • OK....have you ppl seen the Conan movies? This guy Jason Mamosa, or whatever, can't fill THAT loin cloth. I mean, really, we're talking about the AHNOLD, here! Not just anyone can play that part....And I'm not saying Lutz is perfect for it, but he's a heck of a lot better and more fitting for it than the drink listed above. Well, I hope hollywood is ready for a flop. There are already too many comparisons to the outstanding previous Conan movies. I'm well aware that Schwarzneggar is 150 years old, all I'm saying is, if it aint broke, don't fix it. At least get someone who LOOKS the part if anything. Oh, well. At least we have ECLIPSE to look forward to!

Too bad. Kellan would have been a great choice.
