So this week, I want to talk about the Eclipse trailer. Unal emailed me wondering if they would wait to put it out during an awards show or some other big event, because it reaches a larger audience. When the first New Moon trailer was premiered at the MTV Movie Awards last summer, their ratings went through the roof.   I think that is the best bet.  Just releasing it before other films in theaters–the usual way–is boring, and while we can watch them easily enough online, I kind of like the big build up.

Here’s where I think we should see it: the Super Bowl.  Do you know how many people, mainly in the US, but also around the world, watch the Super Bowl. It would be a PRIME place to advertise. Plus, many of us… ahem… only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials (unless the Cowboys make it in – Go Cowboys!).
