Comments on: Two different New Moon endings?

When i saw the movie in the theaters Edward asked Bella to marry him in Bella's bedroom. but in the movie on DVD edward says it in the woods. did anyone notice that? there are two diffrent verisons of New Moon. i got the one in the woods. who got the one in her bed room? who got the one in the woods?

THERE WERE TONS OF DIFFERENCES! i saw the movie 4 times in one theater and once in another and i own the dvd and there are two extremely different versions.
1) Edwards lines are very different when he is discussing the volturi with bella at her party
2) Laurent says "you are so mouthwatering" with more intensity in one movie
3) In the end of one movie when bella saves edward she says "NO EDWARD DONT!" and then she jumps into his arms and in the other movie she just says "dont" and then edward like smells her hair or something strange like that.
4) At the theaters the run time was 2 hours and 2 minutes but on the dvd it is an hour and a half.

THERE ARE TONS MORE BUT I CAN ONLY TYPE SO MUCH!! haha

I saw the one with Bella's surprised face all 4 times I saw it at the cinemas. In the different one the ending with Edward, did it just cut to black after he said- “Marry me, Bella”?

im from south africa and new moon only officially started showing on the 27th of nov but i went to a sneak screening on the 23rd and then saw the movie again on the 27th (both of these where at the SAME CINEMA) the first time i saw it it was the cut with just edward end the next time it had bella. so even the same cinema had two different versions…

the first time i saw it was at the midnight premair and it ended with edward and i saw it the weekend after that and i like just noticed when i was thinking back to it it ended wiyh bella??? i wonder why?

that is exactly what i was thinking! i've seen it four times and in three different theatres, and i'm fairly certain i saw bella all four times, maybe not the first, but i was with a friend and we both looked at each other right then but i do distinctly remember hearing Bella gasp…

Edward then black screen is one I saw. Weird. Can't wait for DVD to come out to see deleted stuff. When is that any way!!! I want to watch it on DVD over and Over again!!!

Saw it both ways- opening weekend w/Edward and the second time w/Bella. I thought that I just missed something the first time around when you only saw Edward. It was good to see Bella's face-let you savor the moment better

loads of thinggs happened like that with twilight,,, all the best scenes were in the trailer but they were edited out the actual film :/

That happens a lot in movies. They film something and put it in the clips for the trailers, but doing the final editing process one or more of those clips could be cut for time and pacing purposes.

I agree. I saw the midnight show and it ended with Edward. The next time(s) it ended with Bella. I just thought I missed it the first time but come to think of it . . . I guess I will have to go again to another theatre. lol

I saw it twice and thought I had just missed it cutting to Bella until my mom, who also saw it twice with me leaned over and said, “now I missed that the first time”. I don't think we did, there are two different endings! odd.

this is my theory,

they made 2 different ending and people are gonna think like Lindsay, are there any other changes. for that reason those people are gonna watch 2 times, and twilight gonna gain 2 times more money from some watchers. If we say 50 percent of the fans do that, it is around %30 total watchers. it is good money to make from 2 seconds change in movie.

Me too. I think…. I honestly don't remember I've seen it 3 times already but that's not a scene I chose to remember haha. However they were all in the same theatre. The last one I saw (yesterday) ended with Bella… but idk about the other ones. Why they do that? Hm, how strange…

I agree with Jen, I saw it at the midnight premiere and it ended with Edward. Saw it 2 days later at a normal showing and it ended with Bella. I wonder if it was done on purpose or why else would they do it?.
