the only reason Edward proposed in New Moon is so there is a cliffhanger till the next one. just like with victoria at the prom in the end of Twilight

I saw the midnight premier!!! NEW MOON IS THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!! I cried twice...In the Edward and Bella break up seen...In the Jacob and Bella break up scene!!! It was so realistic!

The only we could "Spoil" anything is if Chris had done something not from the book! "We" being anyone who has read the books already new about the Marriage "option"!! It did catch you off gaurd that it ended there!! BTW Movie Was GREAT!! we did the whole Twilight/New Moon double feature Thurs night/ Fri morn. Not sure how I got to sleep at all!! finished reading New Moon for the third time during the intermission, after a while the books all begin to string together in your mind, I wanted it to be fresh. again i will say it was GREAT!!

DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPEN IN BREAKING DAWN: Yeah and also the make-up was very good. In Twilight it almost looked like Bella was also a vampire because she was also so pale as Edward. In New Moon she looked much prettier, with more of a tan. Then you will then be able to see a change once she gets turned into a vampire, and become pale.

I disagree with Kallie. I think you can be a true Twilight fan without reading the books first before seeing the movies. I am different than most fans because I am waiting to read each book until after I see each movie. I am doing this because I know the books will be better than the movies (most books are) because there can always be more details in a book than they have time to put in a movie! So I don't want to be even a little bit disappointed when I see any of the movies, so I am going to see each movie first, and then read the book. I see so many fans posting that the book New Moon was so much better than the movie, and I don't want to feel that way when I see each movie. I saw New Moon at the midnight showing, and I thought it was awesome! I loved it!!

Midnight Sun isn't out. She was gonna release it but there was to much talk she about it on the web and she backed out of releasing it.

when i saw the movie half the audience was shocked by the ending and i was shocked because that means that they have not read the books :( but i have and i love them

I thought the movie was great, stayed true to the book and that was important to us true Twilight fans. I agree with a lot of people on here that if you haven't read the books first and are just going because it is the "in" thing or because they are good looking, you are in it for the wrong reason. A lot of people in my theater were mad at the ending but I thought it was great and appropriate. It is how the book ends so if you read the book you shouldn't be upset at the movie ending. Really nothing should have been surprising. I will always prefer the books over the movies but that is how it should be. Thank you Chris for making an amazing New Moon and keeping it as close and as real to our beloved books as possible. I only hope Eclipse is done with the same respect that you showed to New Moon.

How can Weitz think that the final scene is "extraordinarily emotional!" Aside from the werewolves (and particularly Taylor Lautner), the movie fell flat. The acting was wooden. The scenes between Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson lacked emotion. They didn't even act like they liked each other. No one was crying at the theatre where I watched the movie. They were laughing, and not at the scenes that were intended to be funny.

i teared only when Bella and Jacob were standing in the rain "breaking up" it was more emotional than any other thing to me

I agree that the movie was made for fans that wanted to see it visualized. I can say that the cliff hanger ending had my jaw dropped and quite a few disappointed movie goers. thought the movie was great. would have liked to see some of Alice and Bella on the plane. and Maybe some of the trip home.. might have been cool to see edward sneaking Bella out to get the cullens vote too.. I dunno.. I wouldd have loved it to be 4 hours long and have the extra detail.

I think Chris Weitz failed to capture the emotion of the breakup between Edward and Bella. It fell flat. The same was true at the end. No one in the audience seemed to even care about the marriage proposal. At that point, no one felt a connection between Bella and Edward. Did Weitz read the book? Did he understand the characters. This book was supposed to parallel the heartbreak in Romeo & Juliet. None of that emotion hit the big screen. The previous female director seemed much more adept at developing the soul of the characters.

I only have a partial of Midnight Sun, does anyone have a full copy or know where to get it?

there is no finished copy...its 12 chapters only ...thats where she stopped once it was leaked

If you go to www.stepheniemeyer.com and click on Twilight Series, in the left hand column you will see midnight sun. She didn't finish writing it so there isn't an actual "full copy" but it is as far as she wrote...about 264 pages. Happy reading, it was great! I wish she would finish it.

I think that if someone is going to go to a fan website then it's their own fault if they happen to read about the ending. If they don't want to know how the movie was, if it was good, what was or wasn't in it, then DON'T READ ANY BLOGS! LOL

I am really glad Chris Weitz directed the movie this way because it made a better movie for those of us who have read the book and really hoped for it to be followed more closely. There were parts of the book that I was very glad he included. I hope he directed Eclipse as well and will direct Breaking Dawn! Thank you Chris Weitz for the wonderful portrayal of "New Moon!"

I loved that they showed more of the playful side of Bella and Edwards relationship as it was in the book(atleast the little bit that "Edward" was there) I think that in twilight (the movie) they didnt add any of the "fun" side of them that was in the book. But the movie was great! They couldnt have done a better job!

in the book new moon on page 540 he tells her the condition about marrying him.......chris did a great job.....what do you all think about the fact that tim burton wants to do breaking dawn?

omg i loved it. it was amazing, and most definatly exceded my expectations. i went at midnite and saw it and then again at 6:30. i am planing on going and seeing it wednesday and again saturday. i totally loved it and i think chris did an amazing job. i really liked twilight even though there was a lot that was changed but i have to say that new moon was almost the exact thing that i was picturing while reading the book!!! GREAT JOB CHRIS!!! and i soooooooo cant wait for eclipse!!!

I have a deeper respect for Twilight as a movie now that I have seen new moon, the directors worked within their budget so it is expected that NM was going to be better than T,.. Try something peeps.. Go and read Midnight Sun - i'm only up to page 75 so far and i'm already amazed at how well Rob conveyed this in Twilight,.. it's no surprise Stephanie Meyer gave him the book to get into 'Edwards' head,.. for me it puts a whole new spin on his character and makes the two movies 'together' amazing.. And yes like all others LOVED the ending of NM... had tears rolling down my cheaks with the Bella/Jacob part tho.. awwwwww heart broke.. can't wait for Eclipse and when they finally KISS cause it better be good, we were only teased through all of NM that they were going to and didn't haha

i read Midnight Sun and loved it soooooo much from Edwards perspective....almost more so that Twilight :)
