Team-Twilight gives back and needs your help: Amanda’s Story

Hi everyone! Team Twilight has been overwhelmed at all the support you readers have shown us, and now feel its time to give back. When team-twilight.com was created our goal was to create a place where fans could not only keep up to date with all the Twilight happenings, but also interact and build a community here.  Amazingly in the past four months there have been over 4 MILLION Twilight fans from around the world interacting and sharing.  One of those fans is Amanda “Mandie” Rudd (pictured above on the left, with her two sisters at the theater seeing Twilight).  And she needs the Twilight community’s help.

Amanda was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that when she was born 19 years ago gave her a life expectancy of 18 years.  Amanda is a fighter and didn’t let that stand in her way of living her life to the fullest by accomplishing many great things.  Now her life expectancy has increased to 36 years.

Here’s how you come in - because of all of her volunteer work and good grades in school, Amanda has been entered into a contest that would grant her a scholarship for school if she wins.  Please vote for Amanda by texting VOTE2 to 303-64, or call 1-888-305-9808.     My little brother has CF and has only been given a life-expenctency of 17 : ( I voted because i want everyone with CF to live an amazing life. My best m8z cousin was diagnosed with it and only lived till the age of 5. Its gr8 news to hear about somthing that someones doing to fufill thier life even if they have a problem with thier body. and good on ya4 luving twilight !!!!!

    And I think that Amanda is amazing because doubleing her life expectancy. I mean wow!! Amanda Should get this scholarship and I think that she is a very good role-model for anyone who suffers from her condition (or any other chronic condition) and kids.

    I wish her the best in life.. My husband has Cystic Fibrosis as well and was not expected to live past 21... At the age of 36 he was blessed with a bilateral lung transplant and is healthier than he has ever been.. May her life be as blessed as ours and lets all hope and fight to find a cure!!

    Amanda, you are a beautiful young woman. Both myself and my daughter voted for you. My daughter's best friend has CF and she is like my second daughter. They have grown up together. We love her so much! My daughter has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and she goes through alot too. It scares me so bad some times. Keep up your positive attitude and may God bless you and your family always. I hope you accomplish everything you set your heart to! I read your essay and it brought me to tears. It was beautiful!!! Aim high and reach for the stars. Please know you are a great inspiration and I am sure you family is very proud of you!!!! We are all rooting for you!!

    My cousins daughter almost died when she was a baby and had something to do with her muscles and is sensitive to stuff in the air!Por imune system,and is my hero she is 3 and such a strong trooper..
    Amanda trust in God with everything,God will help you through this fight you seem like a strong fighter!God bless you and I will pray for you to battle this fight with everyone else who has it..
    Just remember you are perfect just like anyone else,and God loves you as a christian you can always trust in him!! Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not own your own understanding in all of your ways axknowledge him and he shall direct your paths straight.. God bless you
