Kristen Stewart covers October’s issue of Interview Magazine. In the interview, conducted by Dennis Hopper, she discusses the stigma of Twilight, getting into the industry, and dealing with the oddities of fame.. Check out all the amazing photos, done by photographer Craig McDean!

HOPPER: But you must be going through a lot right now, the way Twilight is hitting. You must have no peace at all.

STEWART: The sad thing is that I feel so boring because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins—whether it’s someone I’m meeting for the first time or someone I just haven’t seen in a while. The first thing I want to say to them is, “It’s insane! And, as a person, I can’t do anything!” But then I think to myself, God d*** it, shut the f*** up.

HOPPER: Have you been able to enjoy it? Or do you feel more pressure doing these sequels?

STEWART: I do feel more of a pressurized strain than what is typical for me. Usually, what drives you is your own personal responsibility to the script and the character and the people you are working with. But in this case, I have a responsibility not only to that but to everyone who has personal involvement in the books—and now that spans the world. It’s an insane concept. There are certain things in Twilight . . . As much as I’m proud of that movie and I do like it, I feel like maybe I brought too much of myself to the character. I feel like I really know Bella now. But most readers feel like they know Bella because it’s a first-person narrative. She’s like a little vessel and everyone experiences the story through her. All of these girls who are fans personally feel like they encapsulate that character. So it’s like, “How the hell am I going to do that for all of them? It’s impossible!” But I’ve decided, if you’re just unabashedly honest all of the time, you have nothing to be ashamed of.

HOPPER: Does it bother you to see yourself in the tabloids?

STEWART: There’s nothing you can do about it, to be honest. I don’t leave my hotel room—literally, I don’t. I don’t talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it’s really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself. That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading. It depends what mood I’m in. Some nights, I think, “You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.” Then the next day I think, “Ugh.Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.” But it’s like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.

I think Stewy looks amazing in this set of photos. Interview always has edgy spreads, and this one is no different. I appreciate her honesty and candor, and it makes me like her even more. What you see is what you get!

    there is no denying that she is a beautiful young lady, you can see that as clearly as you can read this but there is something about her when she portrays bella in the movies, only the odd sentence, that makes me cringe, i dont know what it is but i think it might be some of her facial expressions like on shot where she is 'finger flipping' (? we dont call it that haha) she does this expressions in the movies and i just thing STOP IT XD haha

    but over all i really like her now, i used to hate her but that could have been to do with that fact i loved R.P haha and then i liked her but then i hated her but now i do really like her... she is beautiful, has a great personality, down to earth, stick up for what she believes in and she is a great actor apart from the expresson that bugs me haha

    But i love this shoot :D may have to use him in my photography work as this is the angle am going for :D thanks guysss!!

    she IS gorgeous. i think those of you who say she's nothing special -- well, i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or so says the cliche'. however, i challenge you to really think about it -- sure you're not just jealous? she is a beauty. she's handling this fame as well as can be expected for someone her age. stop hating. it's not cute, nor does it make you more likeable.

    i am irritated with all the haters. but its no surprise that many people hate her. i mean hey the girl has many things other girls want.

    these pictures make her look absolutely STUNNING!
    like a rocker goddess or something like that. haha.

    i like her but damn stop complaining about not being able to go outside without folks talking about you, your an actress it comes with the territory. I would take it any day for how much money actors get paid i could care less what they would say about me. I do like how she talks about the way she portrays bella and that some of her ownself came out in the character. When i read it i felt like bella was sort of like me, i think that is how every girl feels, so that would be hard to portray her. She is doing a great job as bella and i cant wait to see her in the next installments.

    i love kristen. and i feel really bad that she can't have a normal life.
    hopefully all this will die down a little and she can go out and have fun without getting mobbed my the paparrazzi

    ...i remember i watched her in catch that kid so long ago and then..this.

    i feel bad she can't really go anywhere but she sorta brought it on herself so her sayong she wishes she is normal is out of this world.

    i went from loveing her
    to likeing her
    to hateing her
    to likeing her again.

    idk there is still something i am on edge with my feelings for her as far as i know about her.

However, I still like her as Bella...the foul language and finger flipping aside, of course, haha. And these pictures are really good of her! Again, except the finger flipping, and I'm not into the plastic over her mouth, haha, what is that?! lol But anyway, Bella is no job anyone could really do perfectly, maybe not even Stephenie herself, so I think Kristen's doing pretty well with it and I give her kudos for that. :)

  • Yo tambien! I still don't like her. I think the PHOTOGRAPHER is fantastic, the shots are great, but I still don't see anything special.

    She still just looks like a very young girl to me playing dress up, especially in the one with those massive shades.

    The interview is good though. Wow that Dennis Hopper interviewed her. That's pretty great!
