When I saw Twilight, I was on the half of Thiligh the book. I loved the book, but i think i woudnt be a twilight fan if it wasnt Robert PAttinson. I thinkk we wont find anyone like him...sorry!!

What's wrong with you guys? I never imagined any actor for Edward, I pictured a own, *just in my head living* Edward...as so many of all the Twi Readers, and that's the reason why, we're talking all the time about, who else could played Edward, because no choice would be fine for everybody!

Robert Pattinson did a very good Job, Henry Cavill is just HOT, and the rest of them, sorry but, did anybody read Twilight? xD;)

All the guys mentioned are good looking, but some are too old, some too young and innocent -looking, and some already too well-known (like Zac). None of them has the chiseled features that Rob has, and the brooding look that makes him perfect for the role of Edward. And as for Edward being "... the most beautiful thing I had ever seen...."
What defines beautiful??? For thousands and thousands of girls and women Rob Pattinson IS beautiful. And I agree with the majority!

chace crawford looks to boyishly good looking, i dont think he could have pulled of the dark edge of edward. I think robert suits the part so well because hes good looking but he isnt perfect. He pulls of edwards insecurity as he probably doesnt see him self as this gorge guy either! Rob all the way no one else could do it so well!

Come on! I can't imagine another person as Edward. He's perfect to his role.
The play would not be the same without Robert Pattinson. they had to think before about his age, but I think it doesn't matter, because by the time breaking down be filmed, Robert will be one year older..

Even though Rob is 23 (not 17) I think it's better to get someone of his age to play Edward because Edward is way more mature than a 17 year old. I also think that it's easier to keep Rob looking the same for the next few years while the movies are made than to try to keep a teenage boy looking the same as he gets into his 20s. If you look of photos when Rob was 17 & now he's changed a lot. Vampires aren't supposed to age at all. Taylor's aged & grown with the character like he's supposed to in the book.

Also, I know Rob's British but he plays Edward American & I think he does a really good job. If he had a European accent that would be really wierd.

First of all Edward is just 17 years old... and almost all the actors in the video look..over17's..(even R.P).. anyway... i think that they miss Nicolas Hoult... is young and probably would be a good Edward:.:::: Just Sayin'

To me, Robert Pattinson has always been and will always be the perfect Edward Cullen :)
When i first started reading the books they'd only just decided to make Twilight into a movie, and they hadn't yet thrown any names about.
However, Stephenie had been listing a few names on her website and Rob really stood out to me (i already loved him from Goblet of Fire XD) so i was blissfully happy when he was chosen, and had imagined him as Edward pretty much from the start.
BUT if i had to choose someone else... i'd probably pick Rob's friend Tom Sturridge, he has the same sort of look going - pale skin, tousled hair, charming smile, chiseled jaw... yum :P
And i think that since Rob's British then it shouldn't really matter what nationality the actor is, so long as they can pull off the character.
(i think people are against Gaspard Ulliel because he may have too much of a French accent, and i am TOTALLY against Zac Efron as Edward. i would most certainly NOT defend him if he was cast as Edward... it was bad enough when they were considering Vanessa Hudgens as Leah *shudders*)

ok... first.. whoever thinks zac efron could play edward is retarded!
he can barely play his role in high school musical. and i won't say he's not cute, but please!!! for a vampire??? NO WAY!
second, yeah, edward's from chicago, and rob is from england, but he was told to speak in an american accent, and trough the movie you can hear a few words that just sound american with a sexy british accent hidden, which makes edward's voice even more sensual than it already is..
third, i think no one would have been a better edward than rob. and i wouldn't say the same if someone else had been picked for the role.
fourth (yeah, i know, i have a lot to say here, but don't complain), i think gossip girl's cast might look as a vampire because they're all handsome and sexy and cute and whatever, but they don't have the style of a vampire...
though maybe one of those girls could play a better heidi.. i don't like the girl they chose...

I think that Rob its so perfect for this role.. cant imagine some one else playing the role..! And is not so important that he's european..! hes so perfect..! But if i have to take a choice i will chose to chace Crawford.. hes so cute to.!!

I have another name for the mix, Tom Hughes. He looks so much more like my edward, if that makes sense. Btw im not saying rob shouldn't of got it, coz i am so glad he did, just that this guy is who i picture as i read.

zac is crap.
and im not only saying that because im used to seeing rob as edward.
but he is truly crap.
the only thing that would make the movie watchable is if they put basketball, some dancing and singing from the leads.
because thats all he's good at.
and the all american reject guy is ugly, good voice , good band , but ugly.

Of course Rob pattinson is the best person for Edward, but if I had to pick one, I liked stephanies pick. He was hot. But DEFINETELY not as hot as ROB!!
