Jenna Dewan wishes hub Channing Tatum were playing Riley

Channing Tatum’s new wife (and Step Up costar) Jenna Dewan wishes he had gotten the role of Riley. She is a huge Twilight fan. Here is what Jenna said.

Jenna told E! “I totally tried to get him to do it,” “I was like, ‘Baby, do Twilight!’ Oh, my god. I’m a huge Twilight fan. I’ve read all the books. So I was like, ‘You should do it, you should do it, you should do it!’”

While Dewan is a huge Twilight fan, she says Channing hasn’t read any of Stephanie Meyer’s books. But she’s a huge fan saying “I just saw the trailer for [New Moon] today,” “It’s one of those things where I liked the books so much, I felt like a 10-year-old reading them. I finished them in like three days.”

I love when the celebs share their Twi-love. Don’t hide out guys! You have a great support system.

I am not a Channing-hater or anything (he has his moments…) but I am so so glad he isn’t Riley. If only just because this is introducing us to the ever-delectable Xavier Samuel.

I don't think he would have made a good Riley because he's too big. He would have been like as big as Emmet, which is not how he was described.

i loved channing in GI joe n hes hot but i think he is a lil bit old for the part n hes better in action movies

I loved Channing in GI Joe. I think he's great in action movies. But I think Xavier is perfect for Riley.

And I love when celebs also go Twi-verbal about their love for the books and Stephenie.

Oh heck no... Channing Tatum is not a good actor and he's nowhere near as fine as Xavier...

The character Riley is one of the important actors/vampires in New Moon because he's going to try and kill Bella...i think in the end and the end is also important so yah hes in the end so that makes him important too thats why he has a name hello? derrr

He was really good in G.I Joe! But i cant really see him as Riley. Sorry Channing. To me he needs to be in more movies that have lots of action and when he's also the main charater in it and in the movie from start to finish.

I thought Channing Tatum was absolutely perfect for the role of Riley. And would it matter if her were too old? The movies and books don't have to be dead on. Heck, they usually never are. Plus, make-up nowadays can make anyone look extremely different than what they look like in real life.

I don't understand how Xavier is 'better.' Because Eclipse hasn't even come out yet, thus you haven't seen him act as Riley yet. So that means you're judging him and Channing by looks. I'm sure that Xavier will do a great job acting as Riley though, I have nothing against him.
