New Moon will gain the series some male fans

Edi Gathegi gave some details about The Twilight Saga: New Moon at TwiTour in Phoenix. This is what he had to say:

You guys if you haven’t twittered yet, I saw New Moon yesterday. And I sat next to Stephenie Meyer. In a private theater that had like 10 seats. And I watched this gorgeous movie in front of me. And pound for pound I think you guys are gonna LLLLOOOOVVVVEEE it. I don’t anyone is not going to love it. I think it’s just a movie where everyone will love it. You know what my prediction is? There will be a whole new onslaught of twiguys. I think that’s actually the biggest recommendation that you can get. Cause we already know that we have all the female fans. I think with this movie that people will be…this movie is just damn good. Hey Bruno…yeah. I saw New Moon it was good you should go see it. And that’s what I think.

Does this mean my husband will actually go see it with me? Wait, I don’t want him to. I want to go with my Twihard girlfriends!

    Guys do like Twilight, I'm a guy and I'm in love with it and of course I'm not gay! My guy-friends who all are straight like it, too! It's sad that people think that way.. The problem is that some girls are sooo immature and in fact they are so obsessed with Edward and not twilight and then guys think twilight is a girls-only thing.. And then on the other hand, most guys that ''hate'' it are really immature and need to become more open-minded.. Who says romance is not for guys? That's feministic and disrespectful for both men and women.. Twilight has romance, vampires, werewolves , a lot of imagination, nice characters, beautiful actresses, nice music, suspence and so many more great things that are obviously not only for girls.. People just need to grow up!

    I don't know if I want my husband to see it with me-he might get jealous of all the drooling I will be doing-he already won't see any Johnny Depp movies with me!! Team Edward is the only team to be on(cuz its the winning team)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i want my boyferind to love t3wilight but at the same time i dnt wwant him to see the film at the same time as me cos i no he will take the PISS and i wanna go crazy wen EDWARD AND JACOB come on screen but i cant do dat if hes sitting rite next to me!! lol anyone got any advice??? plz??? lol xx

    Okay.....I know this has nothing todo with this but where can I find the 2010 New Moon Calander?!?!
    But so excited Edi loved it and can't actually wait forthe movie!!!!!

    i can't wait! I hope there are more twiguys so they don't all gang up on us with their twilight hatred. New Moon is definitely should bring more attention to guys, Twilight was mostly about Edward and Bella and their blossoming romance and the guys are all "ew love gross go away" but New Moon has vampire and werewolf action and its not so much of a romance as Twilight. So hopefully there will be a positive reaction from the boys ;)

    LOL I feel the same about my boyfriend as you do about your husband. I would take him, except I'd probably completely ignore him the entire time and then he'd end up hating it. And there's the little detail of me dressing up as Jasper...yeah, I don't think he'd want to see me like that. XD

    Anywho, I do think Edi is right though, and any guys that do go will like it a lot more than Twilight....not giving spoilers away to the silly people that haven't read the book, but Jake is a lot more typical guy than Edward is... :) I am Team Edward though ahahahaha.

    i'm lucky... my husband puts up with my twilight mania.. and will even watch twilight with me about once ever 2 weeks.. ahah we are having a girls day the day it comes out too.. but i think we may drag him along;)

    I already know A LOT of guys who love Twilight (They're not even gay!) Even my math teacher LOVES Twilight.. And he's like a so (NOT) gay.. He's very muscled, and kinda good looking xD And his a player too... Yeah, his deffo not the ideal math teacher ;D

    Team Edward all the way here too... Cant wait for Eclipse.... Yeah baby !!! Nah I will be going to see New Moon with the girls too. I cant wait for it to come out.. going to feel like forever till November gets here *sigh*

    Hahaha i doubt my hubby will go....but im with you, its girls night out for us!! We are hitting the Gold room and then hitting the town!!!!!! Team Edward all the way baby!!!
