ReelzChannel: 5 Eclipse scenes that need to make it into the movie

ReelzChannel has posted a list of 5 scenes from Eclipse that need to make it into the movie version. Even though New Moon hasn’t even hit theaters yet, there is already speculation about Eclipse and the plot points that will make it into the film, due to the fact that shooting starts in just a few weeks on the third installment in the series.

Jasper Rosalie

This contains SPOILERS if you haven’t read the books. Consider yourself warned!

1) Character Flashbacks

In Eclipse, we finally get to hear Jasper’s and Rosalie’s stories. Jasper’s crescent-like scars are explained and we see him meeting Alice for the first time. Rosalie’s past is a little more dramatic, with a nasty fiancÃ© and his friends all but killing her. Keeping these chapters in the movie will allow for some awesome historical scenes, and might even gain Rosalie some fans. Plus, Jasper’s story is kind of crucial to Eclipse â€” it explains newborns and the older vampire’s allegiance to the Volturi.

2) Chapter 15 “Wager”

This chapter has everything: Jacob kissing Bella against her wishes, Bella punching Jacob and breaking her hand, and Edward gallantly stepping up to defend his woman. Here’s hoping Melissa Rosenberg writes this whole chapter into the screenplay â€” especially Edward’s “If you ever kiss her again, I will break your jaw for her” line. There’s no doubt about it: Theater audiences would swoon.

3) Chapter 22 “Fire and Ice”

In this fan-favorite chapter, Edward and Jacob have a man-to-man talk and come to a Bella-related compromise. They’re not quite friends, but they’re almost there and no longer want to rip each other’s head off. Any scene that will allow Robert Pattinson to talk about Edward’s jealousy and love for Bella is bound to be a crowd pleaser. We can already hear the contented sighs from his legions of female fans as he stares moodily into the camera…

4) Bella’s Proposal Acceptance

In chapter 20, “Compromise,” Bella finally agrees to marry Edward after a long discussion about demands, immortality, and the losing of one’s virtue. Fans were ecstatic when Bella finally answered their prayers and committed herself to Edward â€” their only question was, what on earth took her so long?

5) The Final Fight with Victoria

There’s an awesome showdown at the end of Eclipse, which sees Victoria and her newborn army up against the wolves and the Cullens. There’s action, suspense, surprise … everything a good battle needs. It’s arguably the best action scene in the whole of The Twilight Saga and will give the guys a reason to keep watching. Hot female vampires and an undead death or two â€” what more could they want?

Personally, I have several things I am looking forward to in Eclipse (the tent, the fight with the newborns) but I am most excited to see a little more Jasper and get his background. They better not cut it short…

okay i will be soooooo pissed that if in Eclipse they dont have the proposal!!!! they better or i will be sooo mad and i want to see Rosalies story!!!

if the chapter COMPROMISE doesnt make it in in a very well edited way i will be pissed thats part of why i love that book best i am already pissed about Victoria...

they better put in the scene on pg 216 of eclipse when jacob says "does my being half naked bother you?" i wanna c tayor lautner say that line i would die if it isnt in the movie!!! Team Jakeward♥

I really want the tent scene. it was definatly my favourite scene and the scene that made me laugh the most! i just love the way jacob is saying nothing and edward just comes out with "Yes, I'm jealous of that too". i was laighing so much. my family were looking at me really strangely! <3 team jacob <3

I reallt want the tent part! It's the part that made me laugh the most and the part i remember most! i love that part, because of jacob thinking all them things and edward just answering, " yes im jealous of that too". it made me laugh so much my family were looking at me strangely!!! ,<3team jacob!!

well, of course they're going to put in the fight with victoria. that is kind of the main point of eclipse. all of jasper's and rosalie's stories, and other details just wrap around that. this would not be a movie worth going to see without that scene.

I totally agree. I was disapointed when they didn't even tell Jasper's powers in Twilight. They didn't say anything about his ability to control emotions. So Jasper should get more recognition.

And I too want the whole "If you ever kiss her again, I will break your jaw for her."
I would definitely swoon.

i don't care if the movie is 3 years long just so they do a good job... wich means KEEPING ALL the good seans. u can't get rid of the newboorns OR jasper and rosile's stories they r some of my fav parts!!!! And u HAVE to put the tent in the movie. + how can ppl even think of getting rid of jacob and bella's KISS. that would b like getting rid of edward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are definitely good chapters to put into the movie... those chapters make the actually movie... the arguing betwenn Jacob and Edward about Bella...ven the Jacob kissing Bella and totally pissing off Edward! I loves those scenes.. especially the heart to heart conversation Bella and Rosalie had. I loved those chapters! I would definitely look forward to seeing those in the movie!

They have to have the scene at the end with Edward and Bella in the meadow where Edward wants to make love with her and she says no.

Oh yes!!! I agree with all 5. There's so much to pick from but the important thing is for them to show the growth in Bella's and Edward relationship, as like Bella's love and guilt for Jacob. Oh!~! the bed scenes, at least the one when she's taken hostage by Alice, and Edward comes back from hunting, and he shows her the benefits from the bed!!!

I don't think they'll put in Rosalie's story because it isn't as vital to the whole plotline as Jasper's story but I hope they film it so they can at least put it on the delete scenes!!

well i haven't got a chance to read the other two books but from reading that 5 scenes i hope its in n now i am more excited so i think i will get around to reading that book soon n i hope they don't cut it

they HAVE to have the sleeping bag sence (that is hilarious and made me laugh like crazy) and the part where jacob kisses bella! along with other imprortant scence's like the fight and the engagement. i really hope they make it a long 3 hour movie because seriously there is enough detail to do it! they should make all the movies like that! i hope new moon will be long like that as well! But breaking Dawn is a must! IT HAS TO BE LONG! LOVE LOVE LOVE the twilight saga!!!

i think they should have all those five and chapter 23 I really hope the people who are making this film listen to want the fans want. This is my favourite one out of the hole series I don't want to be dissapointed.

i really want to see Bella punch Jake!!! i dont wanna see Bella kiss jake but i now that thats an important part of Eclipse. i wanna see the proposal scene!!! Yay!! and i really want that they put the rose history in the movie then the people that doesnt read the book will understand her.

I also like how Edward and Jacob use Bella to pick on each other, like leaving their scent on her. And how they poke at each other: "mongrel", "bloodsucker"...! I hope they show that in the movie.

Oh my gosh ! I hate it when Jacob kisses Bella and she realizes shes in love with him :P I think Bella's better off with Edward. I just really CAN'T WAIT for the fourth movie to come out! That's gunna be the best.
