Mike Welch is glad he isn’t a vampire

Even though the vamp gets the lady in the end, Mike Welch (who plays Mike Newton in the series) is glad he isn’t a vampire. Because while it seems cool, ultimately it is pretty depressing. Here is what he says.

â€œIâ€™ve thought over the years – Iâ€™ve thought a lot about this – if Iâ€™d want to be a vampire. Because thereâ€™s a lot of elements of it that are so cool and sexy and dark and interesting,â€ he continues.

â€œBut the thing that Iâ€™ve come across over and over again, in researching it and thinking about it, is that theyâ€™re miserable, miserable people. So I donâ€™t think I would want to be a vampire.â€

How about you? Would you take “miserable” if it meant immortality?

Honestly guys, can't you see that whilst Edward Cullen is so glorious and intriguing, he actually doesn't have a personality? Now that's miserable .. and pls don't give me hater comments, one day you'll get over this obsession fase and understand where I'm coming from. I too was once Rob/Edwards 'biggest' fan .. xx

I agree. But. There is something about Vampires that intrigue people. Like you said but. I think It's more of a fetish than obsession. For me anyway xD. But even tho I don't believe in them. I sure as hell would be one. Not cause of Edward blah blah blah. Since I was 10 I had a thing for Vampires. I think people are drawn to the idea of a Vampire cause they are dangerous, thrilling and the thought of someone nibbling on your neck would send shivers down any girls spine. But I can see where you are coming from. I also think people like Edward cause he is gentle and protective which. Let's face it. Every girls dream of a perfect boy. Stephanie Meyer has just created that with a Vampire which. Bringing back my original comment about the thrilling thing. You got.. One gorgous, kind but dangerous, protective but thrilling vampire stud. Ticks all boxes. =P But I think people going crazy over this and knocking him down in the street is crazy o.o Plus a lack of respect.

Mortality over miserable any day. If I had immortality but I was miserable then wouldn't that mean that you would just be miserable forever? I think living a normal life but being happy is better. Definitaly would go for the whole werewolf thing though, that would just be awesome!
