Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent in Twilight and New Moon, tells The Miami Hurricane that he is Team Edward.

TMH: If you were a teenage girl, would you be Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Edi: Iâ€™m not a teenage girl. Too hypothetical for me. I am Team Edward. I love Taylor [Lautner], not necessarily the Jacob character. Breaking down what the series is for me, I just love the idea of Edward and Bella. The idea of this character who cannot live without this other character. Itâ€™s just very romantic, and I support that. I donâ€™t support the puppy love, Iâ€™m-going-to-break-it-up-because-Iâ€™m-a-brat type of thing.

Gathegi also discusses what his character Laurent is up to in the second film of the franchise.

TMH: So for those who donâ€™t know, whatâ€™s Laurentâ€™s character doing in the second one?
Edi: What heâ€™s not doing is being good. Heâ€™s not conflicted anymore. Heâ€™s not bad, but Iâ€™m a vampire. I kill humans, but if they [the Cullens] like humans, then maybe thereâ€™s something to that. Iâ€™m curious. Maybe I donâ€™t want to get wrapped up in this game that James is playing. In this next movie, heâ€™s very much like, â€˜that was a fun, little experiment. Iâ€™m a vampire.â€™

Definately Team Edward! He is just every girls idea of the perfect guy. He is the kind of guy that any girl would drool over. People can't truly judge what team they are on until they have read the books. If they haven't read the books they are all Team Jacob because he is hotter. But this is not about the actors that play their characters. This is about the characters themselves in the books. And judging from that Edward is the best.
